I jiust stopped by this place with my family and sold them on a "family day out". Fishing looks like it could be okay, some weeds near the shore, casting distance, if not them a 20 dollar raft distance. I'm excited to try it out. Will probably go monday morning.

On a local river I fish (at some points its just a big creek) I can pull decent numbers on a 7" curl tail I've cut down to about 4 inches. Nothing EVER of any size, though. I hook it up with a shakey head, 1/4 oz. But I do a slow steady retreive, so I guess its more like "grubbin" Sorry for not helping!

Anyone fished out of Aquia landing from the bank, or wading? i just foudn the place, and its near my house, was wondering if anyone had any success.

ha, the awful experience. yea, no sh!t. i havent caught anything there in about 3 hours of fishing. i wasnt looking for an open spot on a boat, just stating that fishing the area i described would be difficult.

I would probably wrap the tips, not rape them. I would say they're fine, but how they're handled is gonna determine if they survive.

First of all Eli didn't win the game for the giants. The new york defense, the running combo the giants had, and Asante Samuels of the Patriots won that game for Eli. Samuels dropped an interception I could have made in the last drive of the game. That was a sloppy drive by elijah, but even sloppier by the NE defense. This wasn't a contract, it was a "thanks for the ring" money in contract form. Now they have Trigger Happy off they can afford to poay eli. And when has 35 million not been that much money?

yea, this place is probably 30 or so miles south of mt vernon. near f'burg.

What city is that out of? For what its worth my father in law owns about 400 acres 80 are waterfront, and there is a HUGE house near the property he owns.. The area I speak of is a little north of Tims 2. I've never been to his land, so I don't know if the fishing is good.

you could do a poll on this site and see which gets the highest vote percentage. Also, see if some of the sponsors could donate some product, and see if any users could donate some old rods and stuff for the kids to use. Just a thought. I'd throw in some dollars towards the event. Fishing is a great lifetime activity, and feel its much better to get into while young.

I'll still probably spend the 15 dollars to see. Thanks for the heads up, if I go in with lowered expectations, I might not be so disappointed.

Idea... I'm going to spend the time and set up a facebook group named "Bass resurce brag book" or something of the sort. Hey- it might catch, and it might fail. But it is indeed easier to to upload pictures online through your phone nowadays. Would anyone be interested? I'll do it tomorrow afternon at work.

i disagree. I dont know any T.O.P songs off the top of my head, but i will choose classic rock over any modern day music any time. I just went to see Lynard Skynard this weekend. I'm 23 years old and can truly appreciate great music (classic rock, to the bighair bands) ! Led Zepplin Rocks! my ALL-TIME favorite band.
