  1. Yup its on tackle warehouse
  2. Ok how bout the dobyns 766
  3. Dobyns 735C might be what your lookin for if 3" difference doesn't matter
  4. Didn't they already have a 7'4" steez frog rod? I know this new one has different graphite but does it make a difference?
  5. Fishing before the rain can be very productive because of the pressure changes. And fishing during a light rain in summer can be outstanding. But the best fishing is right after rain when you see the steam rising off the water...cant beat it!
  6. I vote revo s. I've had it for 2 years now and its fantastic for what im using it for. It"ll hold up no problem.
  7. It looks like a smallmouth but could very well be a mean mouth as you say.
  8. Awesome post! I too shore fish a lot and I really agree on the keeping your bait wet tip. The more casts you make the more fish are gonna see your bait.
  9. Lunker Punker Jr. Although only 6.5" it still gets big bites and doesn't scare away average fish. Gotta love topwater!
  10. How big are the fish? If it is a larger bass then don't keep casting at it. Since it followed your bait it has given its location away. Come back later with a different bait and see if that works.
  11. Randall Kirkpatrick recommended this lake to me for swimbait fishing in July and August. I'd never heard of it before and am wondering if anybody here fishes or has fished it before. If you have fished it what are some good spots? Thanks
  12. Zoom finesse worms also work well for me. The key to shakey head fishing is to keep your forearm straight while shaking the worm. If you use your wrist it will move the bait to much. This is a finesse technique so the less movement the better. Hope this helps
  13. Stick worms are normally fished weightless or nearly so, to exploit their lazy shimmy during a natural freefall. The more weight added to a senko, the more its natural charm is destroyed, and with enough weight the senko begins to resemble a stickpen that fell out of your vest pocket. When a "weighted" worm is used, most anglers tend to move to an action-tail worm like a Berkley Powerbait, Anaconda or Culprit. Roger When I use a senko in the summertime it is normally when the sun is highest and the fish have moved back into or next to cover. I pitch the senko around the cover and basically pick it apart. So I'm covering water without wasting to much time.
  14. Senkos and dropshotting finesse worms
  15. If you have electronics, I would use those to locate prime locations and then start using deep cranks and carolina rigs to cover water. Once you've located fish then slow down and fish the area more thoroughly with a big worm or jig. Hope this helps
  16. I know this may sound stupid but I rarely use crankbaits nowadays. I'm mostly using soft plastics and swimbaits.
  17. Awesome day! Don't ya just love it when you make a decision and it turns out great 8-)
  18. He has to get the dinks drunk before they will play with his worm. LOL
  19. Reading all these lost fish stories makes me feel happy that I landed my PB largemouth, but sad for you guys. I do however have story, though its saltwater. I was fishing in a little tidal creek down near St. Simons Island off the coast of Georgia. I was using a medium light spinning rod with 6# braid fishing a killie fish. The fishing was going great with me catching tons of big seatrout. I then get a bite that feels like another big seatrout, as I'm fighting the fish I keep thinking to myself, this is huge! this is huge! I got a record on the line! As the fish comes closer to the bank I see a 40 pound red drum barely pulling on my rod, but my rod is completely doubled over! As soon as the drum sees me it makes one little head shake and... SNAP! theres goes one of the biggest fish I have ever seen :'(
  20. Hey guys I just joined and wanted to say hi. I'm from Georgia and I've been bass fishing for ten years now. I hope to contribute on these boards as best I can.
