First time out with Rage Tail baits
Two I've been in have the toad, shad, craw, anaconda, and space monkey (Well the Ft. Smith one didn't have the monkey, but Tulsa did.) They're also the cheapest I've found at 4.99$ a pack.

How many fish can you get out of a Rage anaconda?
How many fish can you catch on one rage tail anaconda? Before it's to damaged to use anymore.

litestick lure??
You could get some glow in the dark paint, and use that. Bass resouce has an article about that; I think... http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/glow.html I would just dip worms in glow in the dark paint and allow to dry.

Casting Jigs-How Far Do You Cast Them?
If your using a really powerful hookset; you may be ripping the hooks out of the fishes mouths. Braid needs much less of a hookset than mono. A good flick of the wrist is all you need. You probably already know all this though.

The Bachelorette Finale on Tonight!!!!!!!
I agree completely about the nothing decent on TV. I loathe the programming on today's television that I asked my parents if we could turn the tv off, and allocate the funds elsewhere. There are a few channels I miss, but not many. Now we buy old tv shows on DVD and watch them. Things like Gomer Pile, Andy Griffith, Leave it to Beaver, etc...etc.... Any member of our family to my 2 year old nephew; to my 74 year old Grandfather can enjoy these shows. The shows that were aired a long time ago were extremely funny without being vulgar. They also taught morals. If it's not sickly vulgar, disgusting, or lustful; people don't want to watch it. In case you couldn't tell this is one of my pet peeves :D

Why only small baits for dropshot?
Why does everyone do finesse with drop shotting. Why not use a big honkin' worm, lizard, or a senko? It seems to me if you can use a little worm you could use a biggun'. Is there any reason why most people only throw finesse worms on DS rigs? :-?

litestick lure??
You'll attract water snakes. I guarantee it. Last time I bought into the "use a light to attract fish" mumbo jumbo; a nice friendly water moccasin came to visit me. :-[

Zebco 20/20 question
I only meant it as a good natured joke. Sorry if I offended you. :'(

Zebco 20/20 question
This is my easy method for servicing spincast reels. 1.) Throw zebcos in the trash 2.) Buy yourself one good spinning outfit and one good baitcast outfit 3.) Enjoy fishing ;D ;D ;D In all seriousness though; are you sure it's not a zebco 202? Maybe the anti reverse konking out is why you got it so cheaply.

SAA vs DAA
One thing to think about is that the trigger pull on a DA is much higher than that of a SA. If carrying this pistol for self defense the high trigger pull might be bad. If you have adrenaline pumping thru your veins, your not going to remember a slow steady trigger pull, and likely jerk the trigger. Now since you have to pull harder on a DA you'll jerk harder, goofing around with your accuracy. Just my $0.02

Couple a braid questions
Two quick braid questions for ya. I have 20lb braid spooled on a rod made for 10-12lb test line. Should I set the drag like 6 lb line 20lb line or the 10-12 lb rod rating? The other question is that should my drag be peeling off line during the hookset? Thanks, Matthew Luce

Budget friendly cranks?
If you have an Academy nearby, H20 express cranks are AWESOME for the money. They have many different types and depths for 3-4$ a pop.

Crankbaits and Swivels?
X2 on don't use cheap swivels. I bought a pack the other day, and the first time I used a panfish a stinkin' panfish snapped one in two. The snap was gone, only the swivel was left. It must have been perch or some such because this pond I was fishing hasn't had bass stocked yet.

What color of Fireline?
I meant braid. Yet another stupid made! :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[
-
What color of Fireline?
I'd love to try hybrid, but the aforementioned spinning reel only holds up to 8 lb. test. So for fishing cranks (remember I only have 1 rod and reel...) if I get it stuck in some nice grass or something... .BOOM! no more plug. That's why I want braid. I can get 20 or 30lb test to fit on my reel.
-
What color of Fireline?
I decided to put fireline on my only reel. This spinning reel serves for senkos, TR worms, lipless cranks, and spinnerbaits. (I can here ya'll groaning, but I can't afford a new combo right now.) I was thinkin' either 20/30lb braid, but what color should I get? Water visibility round here is never more than 1-2ft three ft max. Thanks for your help, Matthew Luce

VMC worm hooks
I bought some VMC 4/0 offset shank worm hooks at academy the other day. I've heard nothing but good from all ya'll here about them, so naturally I had to try them. When I got home, and dumped them in my tackle box I noticed that each of the eyes are slightly open. This is something I expected out of cheap hooks. I've tried several knots, and once they slide to the bottom of the eye, -poof- it comes off. The only thing I can do is use snap swivels. Did I just get a bad batch? Is there any way to remedy this? If not this is my last batch of VMC's. > > >
