  6. Off the Bat, people wants sponsors simply because they want free stuff and paid expenses. You all can disagree, but what else does a sponsor do beside provide for you so you can be the face of their company so people like us can buy their crap. I have no experience in fishing sponsors, but I do have experience in a sport where sponsors are probably impossible to get if you are not good. I started out in paintball, going into my junior year of college I co-founded our schools first ever Paintball Collegiate Team. In doing so we had no support from the school and no support from sponsors. Our first year out we played every tournament we could and practiced as much as a could, honing our skills. We lived and breathed paintball. We never focused on sponsors or anything. Everything out of pocket, and this especially being hard for college students on a budget, with school to focus on as well... Fortunately we had a core group of guys and one girl which we always stood by each other, helped each other with expenses whenever we could. In the end we made it the Collegiate Nationals in Grape Vine, Texas and in a two day tournament won our first national title and won the tournament itself. An even bigger accomplishment, we were the first team to ever do this West of the Mississippi, cause you see at that time all of the collegiate teams were from the East with full funding from schools and well established history of paintball. In my senior year, we were contacted by all the major companies for them to sponsor us. We ended up fully geared and ready to go and with money from our school for travel expenses and supplies. Because we proved ourselves to be great we won again our second year out. Moral of the story, don't go looking for it. Focus on what is important and the good stuff will follow. KVD, Skeet, Mike I don't think they got where they are asking people to give them stuff. They did because they became the best at what they do. I am at the bottom left. No Guts No Glory, we flew to Texas not knowing what to expect and kicked butt.
  7. I played you guys in paintball when i was in college
  8. WOW!!!! I am truly amazed, with both the animals and the balls this guy has to do what he has been doing for Nat Geo
  9. Hey that was a nice dedication, and you have yourself a very nice holiday weekend! That goes for everyone be safe!
  10. i saw that picture somewhere, it is weird because what if it was a cottonmouth or something and it snapped at you when you lipped it.
  11. How true it is... but from how you describe how they made it, it seems like more work no?
  12. That is a great idea! College Campuses would almost be always willing to help also, especially engineering departments.
  13. I'm guessing tarnish, sort of like on silver. From odoing a quick search on google, Tungsten is made in two fashions, cheaply with Cobalt which can tarnish and leave brown stains, or Tungsten with nickel which is more for jewelry and such.

In the words of the famous fish, Dori (From Nemo)... Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming.
  15. You realize the money goes IN the wallet, not ON the wallet. Don't see the point in buying a new wallet every year when I haven't dealt with it for the last 10. You really don't have to justify to anyone on how you spend your money unless you're married. So who wears the pants in the house? I'm just kidding I totally agree.
  16. You realize the money goes IN the wallet, not ON the wallet. Don't see the point in buying a new wallet every year when I haven't dealt with it for the last 10. Still seems silly. I've gotten 3 years of use out of a $10 Dockers wallet. That's $3.33 per year of use. You pay 10 times that right now. Even if your wallet lasts 50 years, it would cost you $7 per year. Even if I only kept the Dockers wallet for 2 years, it would still only cost $5 per year. I was merely recommending on the fact that I used to go through wallets every year, so in my situation it would prove more economical. The person asking for recommendations not criticism on how much it is. Its not like I buy this wallet every 2 years, I would be dumb for that. If the 10 dollar works for you that is fine. But I would buy wallets every year because my butt would destroy them so this was a better investment for me. It is like saying which reel is better, well every reel suits a persons needs in different ways. So does my wallet Also I am always looking for the best deal, not necessarily the best product.
  17. Welcome and I am glad you feel at home here.

  19. Hey I spent 350 dollars ten years ago so thats 35 dollars per year for a quality wallet, that I don't have to deal with it falling apart or worry about it smooshing to the contours of my credit cards. Every year I have it, it gets cheaper and cheaper.
  20. I am going to say this with the utmost honesty. I used to buy a wallet every year because they would fall apart, you know those 20-25 dollar ones. I decided 10 years ago to invest in a Louis Vuitton wallet, cost me 350 bucks, I still use it till this day and still looks new. They are made from high high high quality canvas, not leather as most people would think. They still have Louis Vuitton Luggage from the 1800's. If you can afford to get pricey wallet I highly recommend getting a LV wallet.
