  1. I havent heard of the one you are talking about but i have seen a good one at cabelas and gander mountian it is thick plastic so you dont have to worry about trebel hooks getting twisted up in the net, thats the reason i dont normaly use one. i have one of the plastic type i only really use it for fish that look to be 4lbs or over because if you just lift them in and they through the hook it is more of let down then letting a smaller one off.
  2. i have two never caught any fish on them no idea when or where to use them. i use torpedos on topwater to and i catch lots of fish on them but i can never get even an courious spalsh around a buzz bait. help please. i have two booyah counter strikes in , white and black.
  3. went to McGinnis after work today for three hours i caught 2 and my friend caught one. we were using torpedos i caught a 3lb and 3.8lb he caught his first one a 1.5lb conditions were hot and sunny.
  4. i use them all the time in delaware because the average lake depth is 2-5 feet! i get moderate luck with them i use the one that looks like the strike king color sexy shad, i believe it is called xxx shad.
  5. Went out to haven lake yesterday and caught three on rattle taps in the middle first was not legal size next two were 2.5lbs and 4.6 not a bad 2 hour trip sprry no pics the wife has the camera going to mcginnis today after work will post results tonight
  6. when i first started using a bait caster i spent more time picking birds nest then fishing i found that for cranking i use setting 9-9 1/2 on the magnectic brake. the cintrifical brake takes a little tuning. i think i have the terms right for the brakes, but the cintrifigual i am refering to is the nob behind the crank and the magnietic is the dial on the side. i would also recommed digging through your tackle and finding a beat up lure you dont use anymore that is close to the size you want to use, and take the hooks off, and go to the yard and practice practice practice
  7. for my baitcasting rods i use a medium heavy with that i dont have a problem throwing anything i want, and my spinning rods i realy only use that for throwing soft plastics so i use a medium
  8. i have better luck tying directly to the lure i use a palamer knot. i have my cranking rod and reel with 12lb flouro and i also tie this way for my jigs with braid
  9. shrink tubing or use di-electric grease on the fittings, di-electric grease keeps the wiring from getting wet, use it on my four wheelers as well when i drive them through streams.
  10. usually a couple good rattle traps, i use strike king not going to break the bank but a good lure, jigs( i have pb&j brown with blue fleck and black with blue fleck) i use chigger craw trailers, a couple spinners, and i use torpedos for top water that would be a good start
  11. BOOYAH counter strike amazing action and fish response
  12. i can look at the bill and get a pretty good idea how deep it will go longer the bill the deeper she'll swim
  13. deffinetly check craigslist i found my bass tracker tadpole jon boat on there for 900 gave the guy 700 it came with a trailer two trolling motors i think you get a better deal and can be out on the water for less money
  14. mine is a 12 foot bass tracker tadpole i will take some pics and some through the progress to put up here
  15. abu garcia black max great reels great price easy to use
  16. my absolute favorite rattle trap stike king red eye shad 1/2 ounce in sexy shad color this is an amazing lure to use when the bass are feeding off white perch and shad
  17. The best i found it berkley chigger craw it is in the creature baits section but works well on a jig. the claws of the crawfish have an excelent action really stimulates the bass to strike, even before the jig hits the bottom. they come in 3 and 4 inch i have used both the 3 inch is easier to use because the 4 inch you have to cut it at the back legs to get it to fit on the jig properly
  18. i was fishing in a small pond for trout about three years ago i had two poles one with a spinner and another with a bobber and worm i was fishing my spinner and left the worm set and a duck picked up my worm and tried to fly away..made me scratch my head
  19. welcom to the BR i am in the air force now i have been to iraq i know what you mean about being bord on down time i am headed back this winter for my second trip.
  20. I am going to be doing some work on a prodject jon boat i got any advice in making sure it is done right and where did you get your carpet
  21. I do not want to be a sponsored tournament angler. I have fished in several tournaments, and I think it takes the fun out of the sport that is just my opinion. What i would love to do is field test for a company. I go fishing at the bare minium 20 hours a week. I fish in Delaware and if you are familiar with the lakes around here they are smaller and shallow, average lake depth is 5 feet. i have a college education, associate degree in criminal justice, with college writing and speech classes. I am in the U.S. Air Force, I would be able to write reviews and give feed back about the products. Bass fishing is extremely popular around this area. I would be able to promote products in the Delaware area as well. If anyone has any openings, or knows anyone who would be looking for someone like me, message me on here and i can get my telephone number to you.
  22. i have personaly fished out of tritons nitros jon boats stratos rangers and bass trackers. if you are looking for just a fishing boat with some creature comforts i would recomend a bass tracker with a 50hp, they are great boats not to pricey and the 50hp is more than enough for that boat. if you want to fish and use it for tubing and family outings i absolutely love nitros my opions best opions and best ride. i personaly own a Bass Tracker Pro Team TX and it is my favorite fishing boat plunty of room and great fishing boat
  23. that pontoon boat guy reminds me of one time fishing in pa on raystown lake a guy in a seed boat was comeing at me at my guess 50-60mph get about 20 feet from me and cuts it hard sending a tidle wave over me and my boat filling it with about 2 1/2 to 3 inchs of water
