Go ahead and brag while some of us are still waiting...................lol. Awesome job Clayton. I had one called in and spooked it before it got near.
  2. A squirrel at 41 yards?? Come on Clayton lets get real here, you scoped him with the new Ruger 10/22 Takedown. lol But no seriously amazing shot. Congrats Clayton. A deer just doesn't stand a chance. What's you longest shot on the compound? I'm hoping to get a compound next year.
  3. Yeah I went ahead and got me one.
  4. Have anyone used this tool and does or how it works? Do you still have to cut out the anus with your knife? Any other simple and quick tips on field dressing your deer?
  5. I didn't know till I read that Horton sold their assets to tenpoint. But people are saying now it will be hard to get parts or their warranty covered? My uncle has a Horton's legend and they limbs from what I was told are broken. He cannot get in touch with Horton. Does anybody know anything on the sold assets, warranty, products? they site I read said they no longer assists and what replacement parts there is, once they're gone they're gone. http://www.examiner.com/article/tenpoint-crossbows-buys-assets-of-defunct-horton-crossbows

dang. I was thinking about them too. You think the grain is more than rated? Right now I have cheapies. Not sure how well they are? The Carbon express troika ST3.My season don't start till this Saturday. I'm getting my license tomorrow. I have been seeing deer just haven't been out to where I'm going to hunt to see anything or know anything yet. I'm going tomorrow I think to set up camera. I'm getting a very late start cause I wasn't sure if was going to hunt this year. But screw it I have too, I didn't get to do any fishing this year and had all my boat stuff stolen. My foot motor, seats, batteries. I was blown. I'm just glad I don't live there no more. In a better place now. I had two does in the backyard yesterday over by the chicken fence. Must be the corn they after?. It was funny one ran right into the rooster fence trying to get out of yard when I was out there. The other day had a doe crossing the road by the house I almost stopped and grunted lol. I had my caller in car. Well I wish you luck and luck to everyone else this year as well. How is everything and the kids doing?

Clayton, Raider, how are those toxics?? Got a chance to use them yet? What are y'all take on them?
  9. I'm happy with my Parker Tomahawk now Thunderhawk. I'm about lighter weight and smaller limbs. What's the deal with Hortons and their warranty issues? I read Tenpoint bought their assets and the Horton name no longer exists? Is Tenpoint covering the Horton's warranty for the old models? Depending on what you know or don't just remember thump placement and it doesn't stick up past the rail and always use a cocking device or crank system. Also when coming to Parker's and their warranty, how do their determined I'm not sure but when coming to their warranty you must use only their brand bolts. so far as I know when came to replacing the one I lost lol I had to buy a pack of 6 for that one. They use a different kind of nock (capture nock) over the I guess you can say standard moon nock.
  10. For those who are or had followed boxing, Former WBO Champ Tommy Morrison passed away on the 1st. http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/9626860/ex-heavyweight-champ-tommy-morrison-dies-44
  11. Sad part of it all, I haven't been out all year and probably won't be. I haven't even yet renew my fishing license. I'm at least hoping to hunt this year. Not even sure yet on that.
  12. Count me out as well. Funds just isn't there. It was this or my son's BD party. I'm very sorry.
  13. I would go M. Only application that may be a problem would be the Carolina rig. But for T-rig, Drop shot, wacky, and shaky head I use a M.
  14. I have no ideal about the other ramp but Hopyard is a pretty good ramp. I had not one bit of trouble with my 14' jonboat behind my Corolla. I like the scenery around Hopyard as well. Go left allot of nice docks, right nice duck blinds. I haven't been there this year or even out at all. So might be some more blinds out.
  15. I was like that too till I started crank baits, buzzbaits.
  16. Last year was my first year. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to go this year. Since I'm more or like solo this year and I work grave yard shift. I hunt with my uncle and cousin but or schedules will be different since they hunt the weekends and I will working them. I might just get my AP Hill pass.
  17. I use anything from Widegap, Octopus, to Owners Wacky hooks. The weedless Gammy could be consider pricey. I would PM Wayne P and see if he will explain how to do the weedless wacky or make your own weedless hooks! I don't do the O-rings though I own some and the tool. I do the 3/8 heat shrink tube.
  18. Far as murky muddy water stick to dark colors or anything with noise or vibrations. Spro make's a popping hallow body frogs and your plastic frogs like Rage Tail makes a kicking noise as your reeling it in. Buzzbaits, chatterbaits and spinnerbaits with a Colorado blade if want to use them. When I fish my lilie ponds I use Plum Apple for wacky. Heck I use that color everywhere and anywhere. I just love it. Just when can get you a nice MH or H rod and some braid for the pads themselves. When I fish the outside edge of the pads like when I wacky I just use my finese M-F rod with 8lb test. It seems like for me anyway when I wacky they only hit on the cast and the cast have to be dead face with the outside of the pads. Then I frog the pads, openings, and holes with my H rod and I think I have 50lb braid on it but I have used 30lb before on a MH. These are the holes and openings that I will use a buzzbait, chatterbait or spinnerbaits when I do use them.
  19. When I usually fish Lillie pads I'll wacky rig the outside face of the pads, Buzzbait the holes or openings, and frog either with a hallow body like Spro's, Live Targets, or use plastic frogs like Rage Tail, Ribbits. BTW Welcome to the forums!!
  20. I put the dates in at work so hopefully they approve it. Now I need to check my tent and gear to see what shape they're in. Anything else we need to bring?? Anything for a cookout or how much we pitching in on it?
  21. Ranch sunflower seeds for bluegill.
  22. hahaahahahahha I told you I was too lazy lol but nah that truly slipped me there hahaah.
  23. Can we list the dates again? I'm lazy and cannot remember what page it's on, lol. I'm going to put the request in for work now so no problems comes later. Also if can remind of the Campground that everyone are staying at? Hopefully we'll be at the same one.!! Any new news, updates, or need to knows?
  24. Awesome Spropro I pray the Crank bite stays on all the way up till August. Sadly I haven't gotten out yet anywhere to get a line wet. I finally started working again so trying to get in the phase again and about to switch over to nights soon. Soon maybe I will be able to get out.
