  1. Color has to do with all factors, including season, time, water color, & presentation. Good lucks to you in catching the "BIG KAHUNA!"
  2. This is one heck of a friend that you have got yourself. Make sure to catch lots of fish, tell him the stories, & make sure he knows how much you appreciate the gifts he gave you & his friendship. Good lucks to you in catching the "BIG KAHUNA!"
  3. Did someone say FROGS!
  4. This is like someone asking you what color bra your wife is wearing. 1. You just don't ask. 2. If the guys is still alive, you just don't tell.
  5. Preferably ones that swim! (Sorry had to do it, was just there.)
  6. Its my rule, I always follow it, Never break it... I DON'T DRINK ON MY BOAT, & YOU DON'T DRINK ON MY BOAT. Exceptions: 1. Drink when your off my boat, as I choose to. 2. Trout fishing from shore. 3. All other fishing from shore. DONT DRINK & DRIVE, I LOST AN UNCLE TO A DRUNK DRIVER! If you want to drink stay home or go to a bar. (Or have a DD) By drinking on a boat you are putting the lives of yourself & others at risk. Good lucks to you in catching the "BIG KAHUNA!"
  7. Try "DOWN-RIGGER," Trolling.
  8. Just want to say that here in California, it is ILLEGAL as nuts to chum any California water, ESPECIALLY using CANNED CORN. If your caught doing it, you possibly be arrested or fined a whole heap of money. I don't know the laws for other states, just letting anyone who reads this know not to come to California & do this.
  9. I personally wouldn't do this (mount), I would have a replica made. But then again everyone is different, & the choice is yours. If I were going to do this it would definitely have to be over 10lbs.
  10. I agree. This is what I do with grubs when I want to trail them.
  11. That's funny. (Ramp) You should have boated on over & told him that backing up is opposites! Left for right & right for left. He would have probably turned red in the face, & had yourself a good laugh. ;D ;D
  12. My fishing buddy Charles picked up a 4.3lbs LargeMouth in 8-10"s of water, where the lake we were on hits a mouth of a creek off the front of my boat in early Jan. The 10 acre pond that goes through my backyard is always @ 1'-6' in spots throughout the pond all year, & we always have great fishing from it.
  13. GET ON IT!! The fishing will be killer. It has something to do with the pressure of the weather front, but out here after a storm, or even during the storm fishing in always great. I usually bag 70% more at these times. If I were you I would be all over this. Somewhere on this site I am sure Glenn has a post about weather & fishing. Find it, might be nice to check it out. Good Lucks to You in Catching the "BIG KAHUNA!"
  14. I AGREE! 8-)
  15. They definitely have attitudes. This has happened my friend & I several times through the years, minus the getting wet. Good Lucks to You in Catching the "BIG KAHUNA!"
  16. My fishing buddy Charles caught a 10lbs LargeMouth using a Watermelon Senko. I have caught an 8lbs LargeMouth (Dead Sticking a downed tree, off the boat) using the same, but on average 2-4lbs. Good lucks to you in catching the "BIG KAHUNA!"
  17. I don't know of any hard baits, but I can tell you that a 6" swim bait resembling a rainbow trout works great & its reusable for up to 10-20 times.
  18. All hooks at some point rust off anything in water. Good lucks to you in catching the "BIG KAHUNA!"
  19. Sorry but it has to be said.... Why don't we all join "FaceBook," take the forum there, where we can all be friends (add 22,000 new users) & comment each others pictures. At which when we get bored posting to each other we can make new friends & play games like "Farm Town," or "Pin the Tail on Glenn."
  20. First off address the conditions of the water, surroundings, weather, & the underwater structure of the body of water you are fishing. Match the color of the lure your using to the water color. If all else fails, try using a straight worm. (Senko) I haven't fished from shore for bass for some time now, but what used to work for me & what I have learned is to cover the area completely. For example like the hours on a clock, say start at 8 o'clock & finish at 3 o'clock. Every time with a new cast moving to a different number on the clock.
  21. Pink or Chartreuse 3/4 oz Rooster Tails, in slightly stained water. (Using erratic stop & go retrieval). Good lucks to you in catching the "BIG KAHUNA!"
  22. Tina Turner with a bad hair day! Nice! LMAO!
  23. When it is windy & the water is choppy.
