cart7t, great report on the PQ. Sounds like for $80 bucks you can't go wrong.

BPS ProLite Finesse Baitcast Reel - Out of Stock, Discontinued, or Soon to Be Replaced?
The reel was clearanced out. I ordered one on the 27th of Nov and just received it today. I'm not sure what if anything will replace it.

Looking for a good spinning reel
Amen, to the Sedona one more time. Local GM has them 25% off, puts them at less than your budget.

Floating The Ditches For Chrome
Good looking fish your son has John. I can't say much for that hat though. NY, hmmm must mean next year, yeah, go Red Sox.

Your favorite small 2-4" finesse soft plastics for a tough bite
BPS sells a 3/16 oz jig with a gama 3/0 hook. I like to use this with a 3'' yum wooly beaver or a kalin 3'' curly tail grub. This finese presentation will catch everything that swims. I've also used this jig in the 1/16 weight. Great for cold water rip rap smallies.

ABU Garcia Record
I've always liked the round reels. I have a Record 50 series on a Allstar Platinum 7' MXF rod that I used for jigging spoons on wipers this fall. Cart hit the nail on the head when he said Silky smooth and built like a tank. I appreciate the quality and smoothness more than I mind a couple of extra ounces in weight. One super reel IMHO.
