  1. never caught a pickerel on a senko before. Nice fish
  2. 1. 4in finesse worms 2. rig it texas, weightless or slip shot weights 3. T-rig or wacky 4. color doenst really matter because it has great action, pumpkinseed is a good color. Any other comments? This lure works great in shallow areas. I caught many 3-4lb largemouth around water no less then 3ft from the bank.
  3. I like these lures, but they dont last long at all after a few big fish, usually the hooks are missed up. Its really hard to get replacement hooks
  4. nice snook 8-)
  5. I have used speed clips but it depends on the cranks type.
  6. Bomber , lurhs, rapala DTs, Bagley, norman are all good choices for your price range
  7. hank parkers spinnerbait works great in pressured waters. T-terminators are good choice also. I never really like booyah spinnerbaits.
  8. I have received two mail receipts from the mail lady. She gave me two receipts because I ordered express mail but I wasn't there to pick up the package, instead I was at school. Now I have to go the Mail post office to get my small package. Which is about 30mins away, I guess I am just lucky to waste more gas money. I left a notice on the door to leave the mail by the door but she just didn't leave my package. > I guess regular shipping is alot better, so i dont have to go through all this crap.
  9. i fish about 2-3 days now. I spend all day fishing on those days. I caught all my fish on the bank and never used a boat but all in all its never enough :'(
  10. I think their too light to throw in the wind. The action is same as other rapala lures, but who knows, it might be the best lure for your body of water. Even some of the best known lures get beat by less costly lures in certain bodies of water. You dont have to spend hundreds of dollars on few lures to catch the biggest fish.

    welcome
  12. surprised to say that i graduated this year class 07 also. I am starting out in college as a freshman, but i am not sure if i want to pursue a career as a bass pro. I have a real special talent in fishing and fishing seems to be the only hobby i grew up with. That road ahead looks kind of long, if i wanted to become a bass pro but i just fine where i'm at.
  13. all true roadwarrior 8-)
  14. pic of dougs CDs, the CDs that doug made is alot better then the vids from youtube.
  15. I like holding a bass on its side, I think it relieves stress to the fish, instead of holding it by the mouth.
  16. pic of the package
  17. pic of dougs snakes
  18. another pic of fish
  19. All right guys, here is the positive side of the story. I bought dougs snakes a couple of weeks ago and used it on the first day. Well i caught nothing all day, but liked the lure and still believed that it would work. I tryed the snakes in a different private lake, and caught a five pound largemouth bass. Using this lure i found out the following to be true. Positive 1. Its a time and place lure(it works best in some bodies of water in summer, with cover) 2. Its a big bass lure( dont expect to get numbers of this lure, i have had alot of fish bite the lure but many to small to hook up) 3.It can be rigged different ways(Texas rig, drop shot, or w/o) 4. Can last good number of fish ( material stretches to 3ft) 5. Its original( not that many snake lures on the market) Negative 1. The material doesnt take heat that well. Dont leave the lure out side, it will melt. 2.the cost is around $40.00+ which is not that cheap for lure kit. Conclusion Dougs kit comes with two CDs, one for computer and the other for television. The CD does have good tips. The kit also comes with Dougs custom hooks, which many people like. The hooks aren't cheap, and do work. I am still using it this fall but have not caught anything big yet. I would also suggest using it for spring spawn season next year if you plan on buying the kit. The weather should not effect it that much so it doesnt melt. I rate it 8.00 for catching a good size fish. If you decide to buy it or not, it really depends on you.
  20. Johnnydel to are doing everything right really it just might not be the wrong time of day. Keep using the x rap and i am sure that you'll catch a good size fish.
  21. My private spot, no people around for acouple of miles 8-)
  22. I used to fish public waters acouple of years ago. I'm a bank fisherman, 99% of the fish i catch are from the bank. I remember having similar problems like you and all the stupid questions people asked. Now i am lucky to fish in private waters with no people. My advice to you is just leave the spot. If thats one of your favorite spots, you can come back later when that person done catching nothing. I remember fishing with a friend on a public lake. I caught a 12in bluegill then released it back in water. Then this guy shows up in his boat in front of spot where i released the fish, yelling in angry voice "DONT KEEP THAT BLUEGILL". It just shows how stupid people can get, : getting angry for keeping a bluegill.
