Do you loosen drag after each use?
I always thought of it in terms of a drag sticking from pressure rather than wearing them down. The softer drag discs sticking to the metal discs in the system and not slipping as easily when needed. Same thoughts here... hahaha

Do you loosen drag after each use?
I think I read if from somewhere about this topic but I would like to know what you guys think about this. Couple of my fishing buddies recommended me to always loosen my drag setting after each fishing trip to prevent any damage to drag washers, but I'm not sure if this is the correct way or not. FYI, I normally fish at least once per week or every other week.

New Shamano Curado and Cabela Prodigy rod
Stick with the one you are more comfortable with. All of my rods have split grip cork which has approx. 10~11" handle. Mostly, I use both of my hands to cast and it suits better for my situation. I've tried with my friend's rod with pistol grip handle and I didn't like it at all, felt weird and couldn't cast a mile.

Berkly PowerWorms
I'm pretty sure there are lots of ways to fish them, but I normally fish it weighted. Let the worm fall to the bottom on a slack line then let it sit there for a little then do slow sweep(?) motion then pause and repeat this step over OR drag on the bottom very slowly...

How much does your "live" bait cost now?
It's about $3/dozen of minnows here.

Baitcasting combo advice
I have 2 1-piece xml casting rods; 5'6" ml & 6'10" mh split grip pitching rod for bass fishing. I couldn't think of anything negative about them.

Cabela's Mag Touch Baitcasting, 2-piece, MH
I don't have any experience with them but it sure does have good reviews and I believe it is a good rod as well.

What's your favorite worm and worm hook
I mostly use Zoom's trick worm, mag 11 & ole monsters with 1 piece-gamikatsu hook and 1/4oz weight attached together(from academy).

'Tracer" braided line
This is what I've heard about the "Fireline Tracer braid". Pro: visibility for line watchers Cons: tends to absorb & hold a lot of water color fades quickly

REVO PREMIER EVA GRIPS..
Good question, i believe you can order them as a replacement parts from abu, but don't they require some #'s on the bottom of a reel or something? :-? I'm not sure since i haven't ordered any parts from abu before.

New Revo STX
I wish cabela's & bps around here has it so that i can field-test them but none of them has it in the store yet, which SUCKS!

New Revo STX
This is exactly what happend with me, I thought there was no need to spend lots of money for the beginners so I purchased 2 low-end bc reels. A couple weeks later, I ended up spending more money investing on higher-end reels afterall. What i'm saying here is that try to spend what you can afford for good/decent reels at the beginning so that you don't end up wasting $$ like me. lol BTW, the redesigned stx & premier should be an excellent choice to go with if you have the $

Quietest Braid?
I've used power pro & spiderwire invisibraid so far, and invisibraid is very quiet!

Revo STX or Revo Premier.
Isn't weight of the spool can affect casting distance? I read it from somewhere that lighter spool will help cast both heavy & light bait/tackle easier. If this is true then aluminum aircraft spool in the premier should be one of the advantage over stx b/c the spool is lighter... Just my thoughts!

thinking aobut getting a new reel
Unless you can find the quantum code under $50, I would go with the black max. It's a good thing to check the reviews on the items, which I always do.

Fireline tracer braid or Spiderwire camo braid?
Currently, I'm using power pro & spiderwire invisibraid lines on my baitcasters. I liked the invisibraid over power pro because of the smoothness which is quieter, cast better & line visibility. However, I'm thinking about trying out some other lines; either Spiderwire camo braid or Fireline tracer braid. So far, i've noticed from the other posts that fireline tracer braid line tends to hold lots of water and the alternating color fades off too quickly. On the other hand, i couldn't find any feedback on spiderwire camo braid which is cheaper and also has alternating color. I will greatly appreciate for everyone's feedbacks!
