Sorry for digging up an old post. Looking for a recent post on where is the best place to fish in Iowa in 2025. I live in Des Moines and want to venture out to spend a whole day fishing a lake for bass. I have fished Green Valley, Badger Creek, Big Creek, and the Chariton Lakes. Looking to venture an hour and a half out. Looking to catch good size bass and number. Will be on a pond prowler boat. Thanks! Any lakes you guys recommend?

Anyone use Ark rods? Any reviews?

I live in Iowa and I typically only bring 2 to 3 and 4 being max. 1st setup is chatterbait setup. 2nd would be texas rig. 3rd would typically depend on the season. Spring would be a crank/lipless/jerkbait setup. Summer and early fall would be a frog or topwater rod. 4th would be a spinning setup with wacky senko.
