  1. Spro has a good sale going on with their Vortex E baitcaster going for $30 retails for $90, and their Slayer Rods going for $40 retails for $119.
  2. Some fish from this season so far. Haven't struck a big one in almost a month now. So far caught a 6lber, two 5lbers, and a couple of 4s. Iowa Bass Fishing!
  3. Wow where did you get that!? I own and STILL use the original carrot stik today! It was my first baitcaster rod. I love it. Never broke once.
  4. If you're just starting baitcasting I would get the SLX. Like stated above internal brakes are fine. I run 2 on and 2 off. It palms pretty well and is a workhorse. I sold all my expensive reels to get nothing but the new SLX70. It is so smooth, cast very well, and fits my palms perfectly.
  5. My heavy rods are used for frogging, swimbaits/glides, and t-rigs or jigs fished in heavy vegetation.
  6. I have been wanting to try the Daingerous for the price point. Heard many good things. I did try the Magdraft and it was great. Caught 3 and the I snagged it. The eyeball came out after the first one. Can't wait to give the Daingerous a try.
  7. Not much at all. I fish out of a 10ft Pond Prowler. No electronics at all. I fish shallow and that is about it. Our lakes in Iowa are pretty shallow so it's not too bad.
  8. I use the DJI Osmo Action 4. It's been pretty good. Doesn't overheat easy like the gopro, quality is good, and it was sale.
  9. Baitwrx got some crazy sales going!
  10. The head sometimes but mostly where the hook comes out on the body.
  11. The bladed jig is one of my go-to for fishing. I have done pretty well on it. I fish it a ton, have a lot of confidence in it. The trailer I use is the Zako paddle tail. I wish it would last longer but I bring all the old ones home and Mend-it together to reuse until it can not be use anymore.
  12. Yup jig trailer and t-rigs.
  13. I have 5 of the 3700 and it's pretty good. Good for the price.
  14. I use "The Marshall" and it was great for bladed jig, but once the Evergreen bladed jig rod was on sale for around 50 percent off I had to get it for the bladed jig.
  15. I use it on my Zakos because I go through them so much. It's been great.
  16. What reel is everyone using for their bladed jig setup?
  17. $700 worth of Raid stuff for only $100 from The Hook Up Tackle. Easter bundle.
  18. 1. bladed jig 2. Bandito Bug 3. Senko 4. 10in Mondo Worm 5. Frog 6. Choppo 7. Jerkbait 8. Shallow Crank 9. Deep Crank 10. Ned Rig
  19. I have used mostly all the higher end shimano reels and sold them all. Now I just use the SLX 70a MGL. That by far has blown me away by how comfortable it is fishing it all day, and how smooth it is.
  20. Yes! If you get a St. Croix XFC70MHF Legend Xtreme Casting Rod you get a free $100 eGift certificate for future purchases as well.
  21. Wow. Just saw on TW that it is coming out this year and the price tag is crazy! I thought my Poison Ultima was bad but this rod blows it out of the park with its price. With that being said is anyone going to get it and review it? It has to be the flagship of Daiwa rods if I'm not mistaken. Forgot to add it only has a 1 year limited warranty. What?
  22. I use Googan baits and Gary Yamamotos only.
  23. I keep all my plastics in the original bag
