  1. This past weekend I was using a green pumpkin bladed jig and didn't get it. I saw a whole bunch of bait popping and wasn't getting bit. Did a quick color change to an all white and hammered around 30 bass later. I think my situation was more of a match the hatch type. lol either way changing the color did help me.
  2. Might have to give it a couple of months or until next season for reviews since it just came out.
  3. Spray some KVD Line conditioner the night.
  4. I just saw they have two used rods Megabass Destroyer P5 BMG and FMJ for $499 used. Not bad combo price. Only 1 in quantity. (Went back and checked and saw 10 quantity but it might be glitched?)
  5. Such bad timing. I just bought a whole bunch of slinkos a couple days ago....
  6. Up on TW. There are other models of this rod. Thoughts? https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Daiwa_Steez_Casting_Rods/descpage-DSTCR.html
  7. Nice. I'm still trying to find the perfect reel to pair with my rod. Right now I'm pairing it with the SLX 70a and it's been great.
  8. I never loosen my drag. I know I will forget and set the hook and have my drag slip. lol
  9. The one in Altoona? Lol. I live 15 mins away from there and go probably once or twice a month.
  10. 10-12lb Mono Big Game is what I first used when bass fishing. Spray some KVD Line Conditioner and you will be set!
  11. Thanks for reminding me. I have neglected the worm for so long. Will be throwing it again soon. lol
  12. Bandito Bug
  13. I submitted a couple of quotes for some reels and rods and they weren't offering much at all. I rather sell my stuff and make A LOT more than what they had to offer me.
  14. I really like the new Rapala Scale.
  15. Wow these are actually really nice looking.
  16. Is this place legit?
  17. I use the Yamamoto Zakos. Durability is extremely bad, but I love them so much I just gather all the ripped ones and use Mend-It to glue it back and re-use them again until I can't. lol
  18. I haven't used the baby brush hog in over 10 years. It was my go-to Texas Rig. I love using Watermelon Red/ and Watermelon Magic.
  19. Titan Tungsten, but been using Motely as well.
  20. I love my 7ft 3in M/H Fast St Croix Victory rods for my T-rigs.
  21. Spro has a good sale going on with their Vortex E baitcaster going for $30 retails for $90, and their Slayer Rods going for $40 retails for $119.
  22. Some fish from this season so far. Haven't struck a big one in almost a month now. So far caught a 6lber, two 5lbers, and a couple of 4s. Iowa Bass Fishing!
  23. Wow where did you get that!? I own and STILL use the original carrot stik today! It was my first baitcaster rod. I love it. Never broke once.
  24. If you're just starting baitcasting I would get the SLX. Like stated above internal brakes are fine. I run 2 on and 2 off. It palms pretty well and is a workhorse. I sold all my expensive reels to get nothing but the new SLX70. It is so smooth, cast very well, and fits my palms perfectly.
