  1. Forgot to mention that it does it in the lake too. No alarms but what if the alarm is not working? Also, the boat sat in storage for about 1 1/2 years too. It is and EFI(electronic fuel injected) motor.
  2. Hey all! I recently bought a boat with a 96 Mercury 150HP outboard on it. When i run it or just fire it up in the drive way with the water hose the water from the pee hole is very hot. Hot enough for your hand to only withstand it for a couple seconds. The gauge is not showing overheating nor are any alarms going off. Is this normal or are my gauges and or over heating alarm not working properly? The previous owner showed me receipts for a tune up including new impeller, water pump and lower unit maintenance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  3. You remind me a lot of Dink Whisperer... ;D You Florida guys all love you frogs and exclamation marks. x2 ;D But let me ask you this: Are we fishing for bluegills that nibble on their prey? How does the hook placement matter?Have you ever fished a live frog or seen anyone do it? You sure can't texas rig a live frog,it is hooked in the lips. I've caught bass on 10 inch straight tail worms nose hooked on a dropshot. Just trying to make a point,to each his own, thats why we're people I guess. What, do you think bass always inhale their prey? Hook ups can be hard enough with hollow frogs because they don't always take it all in. Now imagine the hook in the lip section! What you have caught on drop shot worms is completely irrelevant when comparing to a surface lure!
  4. Those things have been around for a while! I remember always seeing the videos on YouTube. I wouldn't buy one because of the hook placement!

  6. I have been killing them on Rage Tail toads and hollow body frogs all day!
  7. The 705C is by far my favorite worm/jig rod. Very sensitive and light too. Slightly over rated in power though(not mag h). I pitch 1/2oz jigs into tight cover with ease on this rod. You will not be disappointed man!
  8. The Powell 705C is the best worm/jig rod i have ever owned! I pitch 1/2oz jigs into grass, pads rush etc with no issues! Amazing backbone and sensitivity!
  9. I have almost every Powell rod out and love them all! I have settled on them because they can't be beat in their price range! PM me if you need help on them!
  10. I have done exceptionally well on the floater in Natural Shad color around this time of the year! When i find the bass schooling on Golden Shiners they can't stay off this thing!
  11. 5-6lb easy! VERY NICE
  12. Used it in both sizes for flipping before switching to braid. Not as abrasion resistant as you would think! Broke off a bunch of fish so i took it off. BPS XPS is BY FAR the best, strongest fluoro out now IMO!
  13. Try the Excalibur XR50 lures. They are waaaay better than a Rattle Trap! They weigh just a bit more so they can get down to where you need them. I like the chrome/blue back with orange belly! http://www.xcaliburtackle.com/rattle.asp
  14. I hated mine as well! I only use the Croaker 65 now. Now those are some amazing frogs!!
  15. lipless crank should do them in for sure!
