Dropshot Rod Suggestions...
Yeah I was actually really looking into a Compre or a Lowrider.. So you feel that a M action is better than a Medium-Light? and the 7' is better than say.. 6 8 or 6'9? would these be good in depths of 15-50ft? I dont even know of any lakes that i fish regularly where i fish in any deeper water

Dropshot Rod Suggestions...
Hey all... Within the next few months i will be in the market for a dropshot rod.. I'm just wondering what you guys feel is the best length and action for these rods. I'm planning on getting a spinning rod and I don't want to pay too much for it ($150 tops).. I'm sure loomis makes a great rod but i don't dropshot enough to get a 200+ one at the moment. So what do you guys use for dropshotting and why? Thanks alot (sorry if this topic was covered a lot before.. i did a search and couldn't really find any answers)

What do you fish with?? (another "show off your stuff" thread)
nice stuff rooster! i'll post mine later... gotta get the battery in my camera charged up.. You probably already use it alot, but that Rainbow Trout X-rap in your jerkbait box has caught me alot of fish and is one of my favorite jerkbaits.. As for missing, maybe a couple frogs (SPRO or R2S) and maybe a Lucky Craft sammy or some Poppers.. if you are a big fan of Rapala's like it looks like you are, they make awesome Poppers... also my absolute favorite popper lure is a cheap Matzuo one

Anyone ever used an old Berkley Tactics Pro rod in the past? (or currently)
So my first ever baitcasting rod was a Berkely Tactics Pro rod/Cranking (6'6 M action) It says designed for Jigging.. it was a hand-me-down (i guess). My grandpap gave it to me a couple years of go.. it had dust on it but looked like it was brand spankin new it also had an older shimano reel on it.. not even sure what model.. He had to of bought this a long time ago because he hasnt fished for at least 10 years. I've used the reel over the last 2 years and i absolutely love it. Its very sensitive and has a nice backbone.. I'm just wonderin if anyone has ever used one before? and how old you think it is? I use it now primarily as my crankbait rod.

What line for my new rod?
a friend of mine has a kvd quantum reel and while he is picking out his birds nests, i am reeling in fish with my Revos.... If you're throwin topwater, put some 8-10lb mono on it.. I like suffix mono

Getting my first baitcaster reel
Get a Revo STX($199) or a Revo S (100-129 depending on where you look).. They give you the best bang for your buck IMO... Don't shy away from a shimano either.. there is a billion guys on this forum who love them

Question about being a tournament director
Hey all, I just joined my local bass club last year and had a fairly decent year of fishing. Our tournament director is stepping down and he asked me if I would take his spot. I have a lot on my hands as I am the youngest member of the club(22 yrs old) and a graduate student. I would love to do it, and eventually, it might help me take over the job as president of the club someday. I am just wondering if anyone has experience with tournament directing for a small club (about 20 active members) and what it takes. Any help would be appreciated! thanks

brand loyalty and the purchase decision
I assume that was how the research was driven, but I would like to see what "most" drives fisherman to buy what they do, which would only take into account one opinion (and produce a 100% total). Then by looking at the results, the highest percentage would probably be the "most". Which would be from another experienced angler. That's just how I would interpret it. I would say these results are fairly accurate as well...
