  1. x2! I use a Revo STX-L with 20lbs of Trilene 100% and it gets the job done
  2. its all about comfort... if you don't feel comfortable using your left hand don't... I feel totally in control cranking my spinning and baitcasting reels with my left so that is what I do... I have used some friends RH stuff at times and it just feels weird.. so do what you are comfortable with and don't change anything if you don't have to..
  3. I prefer a long rod... check out the archives and i'm sure you can find tons of info on them.. i like 7 1/2 -8ft rods for flippin and pitching... I have one of the Skeet rods for it and it does the job well
  4. if you are questioning it, bring them in! It wont hurt to have them in a nice warm house for the winter.. I'm sure you can make room for them in your house. I feel a lot more comfortable with mine in my bedroom then out freezing in the garage all winter.
  5. I think the camo one coming out looks awesome.. I think they are bigger and bulkier than a Revo or Shimano.. They only make RH retrieve, So I would never try one ...
  6. in Very Early Spring or you could even call it late winter (Mid March) I have had tons of success throwin a shallow running Storm Wiggle Wart in a chartreuse color (0-1ft.) The smallies at my home lake love it!
  7. what is stopping you from stopping the lure with your hand the same way you do with a baitcaster? you won't have to catch up to your lure if you stop the line right before contact with the water..
  8. thats exactly what i do too!
  9. I got a Revo Premier and some jigs... Also some money to buy a Powell 703c for Senkos and light jigs =)
  10. im sure you'll get some nice responses... a lot of people really like them! what were you plannin on usin it for?
  11. for a mag heavy rod, the Powell 705c is one of the lightest, and sensitive rods you'll find... and at a great price!
  12. Reel Deal where are you from in PA? Im from Morrisdale.. near Philipsburg.. I fish raystown a lot
  13. I've had equal success with both.. they are the same thing..
  14. i would def. get a 7' MH Baitcaster rod
  15. 20lb Gamma or Trilene 100% Fluoro or 50 or 65lb PowerPro Braid
  16. I got a nice setup there last year. They usually have the Revo S paired with an Allstar Select for for around 150.. and you know dicks, they always have stuff on sale so im sure you could get one at close to you target price. The revo S is an awesome first reel! hardly any backlashes so it'll give you confidence
  17. thanks for the suggestion but im sure i can find a really good dropshot rod without spending 200 or 250 dollars.. although a gloomis or something like that would be awesome.. i am sure they make a 150 dollar one thats just as good...
  18. If i were you, I would feel very guilty for this! I tell you what.. send it to me and I will take care of it for you!! Haha good find!
  19. i would guess it has to do more with your computer than anything... mine stays logged in all the time.. and what are you doing closing the link?!!? this page should always be up!haha welcome to the forum!
  20. GYCB Senko/Kinami Flash 5" and 4" Roboworm Shakey worm Zoom Baby Brush Hogs NetBait PacaCraws Zoom UV Speed Craw Cabin Creek Spiders Yum Lizard
  21. Here is some of the stuff i fish with. i've been bored over my christmas vacation so far, so i decided to take a couple pics.. 150+bags of plastics
  22. thats what i was thinking.. I saw that they were a little cheaper and had 3 or 4 BB... I figured it would be a trustworthy bass reel and a good enough steelhead one.. I only go for steelhead like 2-3 times per year cuz its such a long trip (3.5hrs)... But I'll see how much i like it. I use an older abu garcia cardinal that i use now for a lot of spinning applications.. maybe i will use it for steelies and keep the sienna for primarily dropshot and splitshot
  23. Thanks steezy! I love the johnny morris rods and reels. My buddy has a sweet spinning combo. I have a bunch of setups but everytime him and I go out on the boat I always end up using that one of his for a few casts because it just feels good. hopefully they stay on sale a little longer or i get some BPS giftcards for christmas cuz i know what i'm gettin!
  24. thanks for all of the suggestions! I have a proshop beside me at school that carries all of the shimano stuff.. so ill prob hold some of their rods and go from there.. then place my order to TW
