It is not to much difference in design from my Shimano as far as I can tell. I bought one a couple week ago just to see if the stuff my fishing buddy was telling was true. I have fished it hard for several weeks and it seen to be a great reel. Only time will tell about how well it will stand up.

I use Duolock snap swivel and leave the split rings on. I have never had a fish break a Duolock.
