  1. Congrats on the accomplishment!
  2. Thats kind of an accident, but hurts non the less...snapping a g loomis mossy back by trying to flip a 6lb+ largemouth like I did and watching half my rod, the fish and my jig sink back into the water is kind of stupidity. :-[
  3. Was there a "Do not feed the wildlife sign"? I can understand your aggravation with the fishing complaint, I would be mad too but taking it out on some old lady feeding the ducks doesn't seem to cool.
  4. It seems from his T.V. presence that he is a good guy, I'd like to meet him. His show "Reel in the Outdoors" is good too. Don't know if that show is even still on.
  5. That's a good rule! X2 We're all under review by the man upstairs. What a better world we would have if more people realized that.
  6. That thing looks nice! I like the 2 curly tentacles.
  7. Yea, they had the 2000 Bass Master Classic on Lake Michigan in downtown. Woo Daves won that one. I didn't see the city limits from Chicago but I remember a clip from it where I believe Ike was on the river and had a nice smallie, maybe close to 3lbs, but I could be mistaken as well.
  8. Nice!!! I'm originally from about 10 miles from down town Chicago and have been constantly thinking about fishing for smallies on lake Michigan and the Chicago river when I go back some day. You have officially enhanced my excitement about that trip!! Beauty! Congrats!
  9. Thanks for all you do top and congrats on the nice outing!
  10. 4 inch Renegade curly tail worm with the tail cut off wacky rigged has been by far my most productive drop shot bait this year. Bought from Walmart a couple of years ago and never threw them until about a month ago. Glad I opened them up!
  11. I would help them. If I was in the thick of a competition and it may affect my results it might get me upset, but I don't think I could sleep right if I didn't at least try to help someone in need. Last year in a club tourney I ran out of gas about 8 miles from the launch, my stubbornness and embarrassment kept me from waiving anyone down. Several boats passed me until a really great couple in our club drove by and towed us.
  12. X3 4lb+. Congrats and many more.
  13. Good post, I really enjoyed it! "I kept my mouth shut unless I was asked a question." That struck home with me, I try to always remind myself to do that, especially in the presence of older and more experienced anglers, I hope I always strive to do that. The ending of your post was about the best advice I have read on the subject of sponsorship. I don't have any, but I believe if I follow those steps it will come!
  14. Beauties as always, love your posts!
  15. My goal is for fishing to become the only thing I have to do after taking care of my family.
  16. Thanks guys! Had one of my best days today at the same lake. Caught the second biggest smallie of my life on a drop shot with a little 4 inch worm wacky rigged.
  17. Choose any color you like, as long as it's white. X3 I've caught my PB LMB and SMB on white spinnerbaits.
  18. It's like Bill Murphy said, a bass is still a wild animal.
  19. Caught these two smallies on the same cast with a Lucky Craft Sammy. When I was bringing them to the boat I thought I had one and another one was following close. First time I have ever done this, really cool experience.
  20. They certainly are beautiful and addictive! BTW, I love the quote in your avatar.
  21. Thanks, you've got a very nice looking fish there too!
