  1. Ff mobile users look for something in the options called user agent. Make sure its on mobile or something similar. I don't have it on my phone yet so that's all I got for help...
  2. BLACK hair jig... DONE! No need to get anything else. Hair on a hook catches smallies!
  3. Not the way to start a season! The river is finally at a decent level, may try and hit some smallies after work. Good luck!
  4. I haven't been on a bass adventure yet... Trout fishing has been good though. Caught a few browns over the weekend. I'm going to try and get the NuCanoe out this weekend and hit Walker or Faylor.
  5. Just switched from Chrome back to FF4 today... I forgot how awesome these plug-in's are (Web Developer Tools are a lifesaver). I'm liking the new FF, so I think I'll stay this time.
  6. clary, it's probably looking for that combo of letters in reverse... May just catch them both.
  7. Anybody see these yet? I think they look pretty neat, but can they really be THAT much stronger than standard rods? Thoughts? http://www.coltrods.com/
  8. This time of year, smallies love anything gold (especially if there's carp around). Gold rattle traps or spinnerbaits would be the ticket. Don't have any bling? Try something black! If their spawning (should be by now in Alabama) find rocky flats, especially around islands. Anything that breaks the current on these flats are key. If you still can find some prespawn fish, look at the beginning and ends of deeper pools. Smallies seem to shutdown more than LMB during spawn, so it may be a tough fish right now. Just keep on it and you'll find 'em.
  9. Thanks peoples! I'm deleting all your blurry photos... HA I expect nothing less than National Geographic quality shots here... Not that I'm on that level yet...
  10. Matching the hatch in fly fishing isn't as crucial as most people believe (same as bass fishing). It's all about matching the size and silhouette of the object. If it looks even remotely close to what they are eating, they'll eat it.
  11. No surprises there with his quality! Congrats Dwain!
  12. Howdy! I'm in south central Pa... waiting for the bass to go into prespawn mode Almost time!

  16. Started fishing.... heck before I even started grade school, and I had the Juniata river within walking distance of my house. No largemouth in there, so its all smallies for me. Actually, with the exception of 1 private property that I have permission to fish, the closest largemouth water is a 30 minute drive. Actually, I just started largemouth fishing only 3 or 4 years ago, nothin but smallies before that!
  17. I think you all have probably noticed the new Gallery option by now. It's a pretty neat system that will make sharing your photos with the forums even easier. I'm in the process of writing some tutorials (along with photos) to help you all better understand how to use it and so you know what its capable of doing. I wanted to write a quick message here before I finished the tutorials though, because there is 1 feature that is pretty important. When you're uploading your pictures and get to step 2, you may see a checkbox under your photos that says something about adding your photo to a map. This is PUBLIC information that anyone will be able to see, so if you don't want to blow your spots, DON'T CHECK THAT BOX. The only time that checkbox will appear is when your photo has the GPS Data saved in the photo (exif data). Most camera phones and even some higher end cameras save this info. EXIF data is actually pretty useful. It saves dates, camera settings, all kinds of awesome stuff. You can view that data after the image is on the gallery (more detailed tutorials will come soon). Keep the photos coming!
  18. Never knew there were Muskies in Sayers.... I may have to try harder for them next time That lake is tough sometimes, there's really no way around it Just throw everything you got until you find what works. I've had techniques work there that shouldn't for that time of year, so just stick with it.
  19. Wow Dave your avatar is HUGE (that's what she said)
  20. Oh, you must be talking about Skinamax... :-* Nope Showtime...
  21. Sounds like an adult program you'd see late at night on a certain pay channel that rhymes with Binamax...
  22. Even if you throwdown with some big old Muskie lures? That's a bummer
  23. Happened last year when we had super high temps. during the beginning of Bass season. A local lake here lost a TON of crappie because they were spawning about the same time, so the lack of oxygen, spawn stress and increased temps killed most of them off. I never saw some many dead fish in 1 area before, some spots of the lake you couldn't even see the water because of the amounts of crappie.

I had an idea for a dipping rod that may make the strains while being dipped, but never had any time to make it... What if you made the rod have big 'fans' of thin metal along the bottom so it automagically made slits for the strains? Say you wanted a 2 inch tube with 1/2 inch strains. You'd start the metal sheets 2 inches from the bottom of the rod and then dip the rod only 2 1/2 inches into the plastic...I don't know how to explain what I mean any better but does that make any sense at all?
