Exactly, who wants to keep tying leaders all day! Fishing a ned rig you are going to get hung up a lot. Can't catch fish when tying leaders all day.

Why not use straight mono?My question is why do most pro's use braid with a leader? Even all the young guns coming up are using it. Myself I don't care for two knots, it makes tying a leader a time consuming project when your on the boat getting bombarded with waves. Even with a neg rig, you are going to get hung up on rocks, etc. and break off. Give it a shot!I am in need of replacing my Fish finder that is mounted on the bow of my boat. Presently I have a Lowrance HDS5 Gen 2 mounted at the console. I am thinking or shall we say over thinking what FF to get. Here are few on my options and reasons why: Move the HDS5 to the bow and get a HDS7 with structure scan at the console. This will allow me to share waypoints, and have structure scan on both units. For the xtra bucks is it worth it? Move the HDS5 to the bow and get a Lowrance Elite 7 at the console with down imaging.
