Power pro
Never had any issues with Power Pro, I think it's a great line. Get's even better once it's broken in. Plus the price is very reasonable.

Yo-zuri Hybrid vs Silver Thread Excalibur vs P-Line
I am going to try the Yo-Zuri Hybrid line. Soft for the spinning reels and regular for baitcasters.

Yo-zuri Hybrid vs Silver Thread Excalibur vs P-Line
I was reading the reviews on both of these lines and they were all excellent. Haven't ever fish with either one I would like to have some opinions on which one would you get? Andy

braid problems
If you get any kind of backlash or if the line on the spool gets loose, it can create a loop underneath, in the spool. This loop gets weak because it is kinked. If that happens pull off enough line past the loop that is caught underneath, then reel back in with enough tension on the line.

Braided Line
Last year I started to use Braided line with a Fluro Leader. I used 10 LB Power Pro with a 6-8 Fluro leader on my spinning reels. On my baitcasters I had spooled 30lb and 50lb braid with different lb fluro leaders. I like how the spinning reels worked with the braid, no tangles, no line flying off the reels. I use fluro leaders for a few reasons. First for abrasion resistant. Second. whether the fish could see the line or not I think it makes a difference for visibility, more so with finesse fishing compared to power fishing. I also like the fact that I can use different leader LB on my reels as to what the situation calls for, without bringing so many rod and reels on board. When I work a jig I can just remove the leader and I am all set. I plan on using the new Spiderwire Fluro-Braid this year on my baitcasters. Andy

Fluro? Really that much better?
Line debates are great. There really are no wrong answers. That being said the majority of professional bass fisherman use Fluro. So there must be something to it. They make there pay on there catch.

Best line for jig / worm fishing
It's hard to beat the combination of braid and a fluro leader. For ids, I would go with all braid.

Will braided line work for this rod??
If you are concern about fraying, use a fluro leader. You will have the best of both worlds.

25hp Electric start or 30HP Pull start?
I am looking at two outboards 25HP Electric Start 2011 and a 30 HP Pull Start 2010. Each are roughly the same price, they are Evinrude Etec.Is the 5 extra HP justitfy getting the pull start over the electric start? Is 5 HP going to make that much of a difference? Going on a 14' Crestliner. Andy

Braid - Tell me the pros and cons - Could switch from Yo-Zuri
Agree 100% If your are throwing cranks, just use a mono or fluro leader. You will have the best of both worlds. Andy

new to braid....what do you use to cut it?
Roadwarrior is 100% correct! They work like a charm.

Braid leader or not?
I only use a leader for two Applications, Drop Shot and if I am fishing on rocks. Otherwise its all braid.

Cresty, Using a leader with the braid doesn't that help the bait to get down a little deeper? For example using a crank bait. Andy
