where i love down imaging is whem im around vegetation because i can see each grass clump and not just a blob. You could get the down imaging though if your fishing small bodies of water and dont need a gps.

Just went through and reorganized my gear.

in my opinion, all downscan does over convention 2d sonar is that it cuts out some of the clutter. I really like it because it gives you a better image, but if you are good with a 2d sonar then you can spot most of the same things with the 2d. I dont own a downscan only unit, mine has side imaging also so i cant speak for the 570.

ive never broke a dt lure and i fish them everywhere, on rock, through brushpiles and all. I usually will lose one ever 2 trips or so but never have broken one.

You really should add jigs to your inventory. Ive seen jigs win tournaments by 2x the weight of the second place person. On certain days they cannot be beat but then on other days they dont really work in my opinion.

side imaging... and every single unit will include down imaging plus conventional 2d imaging along with gps functions. the best is side imaging. If you have the money then get the side imaging.

i really like stren magnathin for crankbaits. It is a mono type line but its pretty good.

i would choose side imaging also since side imaging comes with down imaging.

bass are nothing for that size line lol, ive seen guys catch sail fish of of 2lb line.

is this the first time that it has ever snowed in Hawaii? ive never heard of it snowing there.
