  1. ive been leaving the plastic on my rods for years now, it really adds so much sensitivity. The first day that i left the plastic on, i won an elite series event on SML. I do it and you should to.
  2. yes shimano does own g.loomis, but shimano are just much better people to deal with and they are have a better warranty.
  3. i have a few spiral wrapped rods and they are better than my non spiral wrapped rods.
  4. my understanding is that the ethanol is not bad if it doesn't sit. If it sits then that will put water in your fuel tank which is bad for the engine. I may be wrong
  5. congrats, im about to start in 3-5 years depending on how far i go up in degrees. I actually cant wait to get out into the field and build rockets.
  6. i broke a vendetta on the first fish on the hook set and it was a 1 pound fish lol. This is why im done with abu garcia. They send me a new one and i use and havnt broken it yet but im still not gonna buy another.

  13. if you take your unit to a basspro and talk to the marine guys they will upgrade your unit and put the DI on it. This is what i did, the guy put a chip in the unit and it uploaded the DI sofware into the unit.
  14. That's because they don't spontaneously crack. Well the company that owns loomis will send me a rod if anything at all happens, so i think that loomis should do the same. In my opinion i just feel like they are over priced and this is the reason why i have not bought a single loomis rod after my first. I will be sticking with shimano for a while.
  15. i expect my first job when i get out of college to be awesome and that hopefully i will get to blow stuff up for work(missiles and other stuff).
  16. I called loomis and they tried to make me pay 50 bucks so I just hung up
  17. haha, i dont get why people are so caught up with sponsors, id rather just do well and have the company approach me.
  18. ive had the rod for a while now and its great for cranks, but this rod has horrible eyelets in my opinion. One of them cracked within 15 days of buying the rod. For this reason i will never again buy a gloomis. try a shimano compre or crucial.
  19. yall are thinking a little ridiculous in my mind, its so much work to unload 10-15 combos from your hotel room in the morning? and a trolling motor isnt that heavy either. I dont mind it personaly and do it no matter where i am,.
  20. if you want to learn finesse fishing then come up here. Its basicaly the only think that works all the time in my opinion.
  21. make sure that if you buy that eagle fishmark that it is capable of recieving a navionics chip or some other type of map chip. If you cant put a good chip in it then the gps feature is useless in my mind.
  22. they look ok, some of the colors seem weird such as the catfish one. Havnt ever seen a bass eat a catfish.
  23. if you up that money 25 more dollars, you can get a brand new shimano curado off of ebay.
