  1. I was putting it in the same "smaller" category as the 50 but I see how it looks like I was insinuating they were thus.

No clue, but welcome to the forums!
  3. I've got a Chronarch 50e, love the size, the 70 lineup is supposed to be about the same size. I know Daiwa makes the Pixy, etc., that are smaller reels.
  4. We've got a thread going on this from earlier today, FWIW:
  5. Yup, it's official. $5.5 billion. Stinks. http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2016/10/03/bass-pro-shops-cabelas-acquisition/91459212/
  6. Welcome aboard!
  7. Welcome aboard, Jax! I responded to your first post which was subsequently deleted...so I'll re-respond here. 1) I do stick with certain brands of soft plastics as some perform better than others in my experience. 2) I throw similar colors all year. 3) I don't get out early much, so don't throw tops much....
  8. Dang it!! DO NOT RUIN my fantasy, OK. Please let me enjoy it for ONE FRICKIN' DAY!!!
  9. Pretty happy about today's game. It was quite evident when Dr. Belichick threw his Surface tablet. Then again, he probably wouldn't have done so if it were an iPad. Guess firing Greg Roman was a good thing after all!!! Go Bills!!!!!
  10. Welcome aboard!
  11. Yes. I use 10 and 15# braid for spinning, and tie anywhere from a 4-15# leader with zero issues. Most common for me (now) is uni-to-uni, my other fav is the Albright (mod'd), aka Alberto.
  12. Welcome aboard!
  13. I just looked at some spaghetti models this AM and if they're right, it'll be off the coast maybe 100 miles or so -- assuming the "main track" is correct. And assuming that particular model is even accurate. Otherwise, it could swipe OBX and ruin next week. But as of now, looks like my trip will take place, I just hope it doesn't swipe us while I'm gone! Ugh.

Good luck with your surgery! Have a start here: http://www.bassresource.com/seasonal-fishing-articles#fall And maybe @A-Jay will chime in seein' how he's been killin' it this fall!
  15. Hmm. Maybe try to think of it as an Italian kitchen! Garlic butter bread, garlic flavored lasagna, spaghetti, linguini, and so on. Here, tell your wife you're taking her to a fancy Italian restaurant, but blindfold her and drive her around the neighborhood for about 20 minutes. During that time, have your buddies pick up some Italian take out and set it up as an elegant meal in your garage. Get your wife seated, and only then, after the wondrous garlic smells hit her nose unblindfold her to a delightful dinner.
  16. The absolute worst for me would any major "hit" to the Peninsula because I'm supposed to be going out of town on Saturday next. Would hate it if my family has to go through the storm without me there to get things like the generator going and such. Here's hoping for the best - out to sea.
  17. Welcome aboard, Kendal! GreenTop went in where Gander Mtn was, yes?
  18. Decent? Downright awesome catch!
  19. Looks pretty cool. I do love sauteed mushrooms (in butter) with a nice, medium-rare, fatty ribeye. Mmmmm.
  20. Indeed good news. Been following the storm for a while now. Given I live so close to the coast here on the Peninsula, I've been a bit concerned. Though the spaghetti models show she could still swipe us, it shouldn't be a direct hit. Hope the GFS is right...
  21. Stop it! I also miss the Garbage Plate and Weinerschnitzel at (I forget the name) that awesome German joint in Roch. And Dinosaur BBQ......... Sigh. But hey, we've got amazing food down here, too! My wife being chief amongst the best cooks!
  22. Congrats! That's a beautiful space.
  23. LOL. Yeah, funny thing is, I have never finished the movie.... Not sure I ever will.
  24. Yeah, doesn't do it for me. But this is downright horrifying:
