Okay, then. Well. I have some cats that actually do better than Juicy Fruit I'd be willing to loan out to ya for a cool million bux. LOL Good luck. Moles are not easy to eradicate.

I've heard from a neighbor that juicy fruit gum, chewed, and placed in holes where their runs begin/end will help. Apparently they cannot digest juicy fruit and it causes them to die. Might be painful, I do not know. Never done it in my yard before.

If you are comfortable with a 3000 size, go for it. These days, they are smaller than they used to be. I'm a 1000 size guy for bass and have hauled in many over 6 pounds on 10 or 15# braid plus leader from 6, 8, and 10 # test. Just the way I roll. I prefer to have braid for mainline so I don't cut into it as much when having to retie. A fluoro or co-poly leader lets me cut and retie several times before I have to cut in to the mainline. Saves $ for me.

I've done shrink tubing, not o-rings. Meh. I usually hook thru the worm. Use what gasses your tank. If o-rings are the thing, make it so.
