    Welcome aboard!
  4. Welcome aboard, Andrew! Interesting design. I'm sure it would find a spot on many a belt; however, probably not mine. I'd like to see it designed to accommodate stretch waistbands like sweat pants, athletic shorts, hiking shorts, etc. Might find a larger audience.
  5. Nice trip, Bob! Large fish, tiny bait!

Nope. But it looks interesting. Given that it's a wacky jig, I'd like to see it in lighter weights than what they currently offer. Is interesting, though.
  7. Hi R H, welcome to the forums. I'm a huge fan of the 1000 size Stradics. Have 3 of them, 2 FI models, and one FJ. I absolutely love the size not just for panfish, but for bass fishing, as well. So I'd absolutely say you could perform multi- duty fishing with a 1000 using braid as a mainline and a leader of various poundage. I also have one 2500 FJ that i also love, it is a tad on the big side for what I'm used to. But it balances perfectly with my Legend Tournament Walleye rod. My .02.
  8. FYI in the forum FAQ/Rules:
  9. Welcome aboard! I'm with the others. First, release your fish before he asks to take a pic with it. Or just fuggedaboudim.
  10. Welcome aboard!

  12. Welcome aboard, Timm!
  13. Welcome aboard! Don't have any experience with a kayak in the $500 range that will allow you to stand other than finding a used model such as the Native Ultimate 12, Wilderness Systems Commander, Ride, Feel Free Mokens and Lures... Preytorian obviously has a positive experience with something that sounds right up your alley and for the right price. Just make sure to figure in a PFD and good paddle -- and ALWAYS -- 100% of the time wear your PFD. Don't risk your young life!!
  14. I like these in 2/0 and 3/0 https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Gamakatsu_OShaugnessy_Bend_Offset_Worm_Hook_6pk/descpage-GOSW.html?from=basres
  15. My wife, too. Or the nurses that come in for the AM shift are so happy for the extra hour that they talk my wife's ear off ... after she WORKED that extra hour...
  16. I've fished these wacky with so/so results. This is probably because I bought them in chartreuse pepper.... other baits occupy my fishing time these days...
  17. Count my wife among this crowd! But it's all evened out in the Fall
  18. Texas rigging usually means Zoom Trick worms or Zoom Finesse worms, natural colors mostly, like black, junebug, watermelon gold, greenp gold.
  19. You've got enough answers for your question, so I'll just welcome you to the forum. Interesting name...
  20. Welcome, Cam. I'm sure the NE folks will chime in here! Down here in VA we are throwing wacky rigs, and other soft plastics. I say we, but I really mean me, LOL. I'll likely be throwing some cranks and spinnerbaits soon, though they are not my go-to.
  21. Yessirree, like Kickerfish, I seal 'em up with U40. Good stuff. Clean it with some magic eraser (as has been suggested in other threads).
  22. LOL... Is always the person who has never even held a rod before! Big congrats to Paul, though. May he be forever hooked and a forever friend.
