  1. Welcome aboard! I primarily fish soft plastics, and of them, mostly wacky rigged worms both stick worms and finesse worms. It outfishes every other technique I've tried. But I will still fish other methods....
  2. Yup: Just type "Gliss" in the search box and you'll get a bevy of results: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/search/?type=all&q=gliss
  3. Welcome aboard! Flyfisher is in your neck of the woods. He'll chime in as he is available.
  4. Paddle?? Pffft. I use a MinnKota C2 30 I actually take an emergency paddle with me, the orange one that is about 2 feet long before extension. Used to carry my AquaBound Hybrid paddle Is carbon, light, great. Will use it if I don't take my motor for whatever reason.
  5. Welcome aboard! On your computer, you need to open the pic and save as a JPEG so it shrinks down the file. Not sure if you're trying to upload from a mobile phone, but newer ones have larger picture files due to higher megapixels. So you need to shrink it before uploading.
  6. Up to you, really. I use braid on every setup, but I always tie on a leader of varying poundage, and material. Mostly I tie Yo-Zuri Hybrid from 4-15# test. Also have XPS Florocarbon that I use on occasion.
  7. Welcome aboard!
  8. Welcome aboard!
  9. Good news, Dwight! Speedy recovery from the surgery!
  10. Hey Jason, welcome aboard!!
  11. I would be, too!! No doubt about that, my friend!
  12. Depending on the platform you're using, you could use the default photo editor to "Save As" a smaller JPEG file, and then upload that to bassresource.com. I have had to do that on a few of my files in OS X.
  13. Congrats, Jeff! Splendid bass. But you know deep down, Mexico holds bigger girls. C'mon, just admit it to yourself.... LOL Sorry, only pokin' atcha.
  14. Time for a bionic arm, shoulder! Good luck and speedy recovery!!
  15. I like the Keen H2, but after several years, the bottoms got ... for lack of a better word, "slippery", and they became...also for lack of better word...... dangerous to wear (due to slipperiness). I tend to use flipflops -- my fav are Crocs Santa Cruz with leather uppers. My other "faves" were Adidas toe shoes, but alas, they've gone to their grave. I should add that Keen Waimea were awesome, as well:
  16. I bet it felt great to have that tug at the end of your line, eh! Congrats and welcome back to the sport!
  17. Fantastic catch! Congrats to him!
  18. I go to one local shop for live bait, the other local shop for rod tip fixes mostly. Both places have good folks and good support. BPS, DSG, and TW, etc., have more variety on the tackle front, so I go there for other necessities.
  19. Welcome aboard, Robert!
  20. Welcome aboard, Vinson!

    Welcome aboard, RJ!
  22. I'm not saying it is, but my first thought was the snout is boar-like, but it's too tough to really tell.
  23. From what I have read and heard, it is more sensitive than previous models like the Ugly Stik Lite series, of which I had 2, now just 1. Don't use them much now, but the boys will for saltwater. If it is within your budget and you want that toughness, get it. Are there better, more sensitive rods? Of course, but that doesn't matter if you can't afford them.
  24. I learned after those things I thought, or was told, or saw on TV would work, but didn't. So like @gulfcaptain, experience, age, history, as well as maturity, finding what works for me and not that other guy over there have chipped in to keeping me from being *that guy*. I don't need as many rods as the other guy, nor do I have to use specific equipment because it's a better tool in the toolbox. I use what works for me. I've had to cut down on complexity as well because it can be expensive. I just can't afford it now.
