  1. I really need to get some updated pix of my mods for my Native Ultimate.... You guys rock!
  2. Sounds good! Eventually I may try some Sunline. But I've got so much Yo-Zuri Hybrid and Floroclear to go through....
  3. Wings, pizza, veggie platter, shrimp, wine, beer....
  4. Same as long island basser... "here we go"
  5. Not at all. I got a previous year's model, something around $850 (not including the PFD, paddle, etc.) I'm not 100% sure, but that was the general vicinity of pricing.

    Welcome aboard, Justin!
  7. I did the outrigger thing first with my canoe, then my first kayak, but it really didn't help that because unless I was that crazy flexible Chinese guy in Ocean's 11, I couldn't stand in it. Canoe, easy, first yak, fuhgeddaboudit. My Native Ultimate 12? No outriggers needed, as with many of the fishing yaks on the market today.
  8. Modding is fun no matter whether it's a canoe or kayak.
  9. I fished out of both, a 16' Grumman, now sold, and currently a hybrid kayak/canoe in the Native Ultimate 12. It really is the best of both worlds, IMO, as it sits low to the water like a kayak, but has the capacity of a canoe, is easily outfitted, more stable than my Grumman was for standing. I went to the Ultimate after doing the pure SoT kayak, and realized there were things I missed in the canoe, all of which were solved with the Ultimate. My 2 cents...
  10. Welcome aboard, Eric!
  11. Welcome aboard! Agree with others that it's tough to nail down. For me, though, in general, I use mostly Bass Pro Stik-O and Zoom worms, but by no means are they the only companies I use....
  12. Welcome aboard!
  13. Yellow. Much easier to see...
  14. Stradics for me. I've got FI and FJ. The FJ is just awesome when a fish is on. X-Ship!
  15. Dang, Goose! That's a HOSS! Well done!
  16. Very nice! I'm missing the water. Need to get out soon.....
  17. Curious.... Japan Tackle has it at 6.2:1 as well but there are 3 3000 models: The 5.0:1 is C3000 The 6.0:1 is C3000HG The 6.2:1 is 3000XGM http://japantackle.com/spinning-reels/shimano/standard-models/shimano-15stradic-spinning-reels.html
  18. Barramundi, Wolf fish, Peacock Bass. I remember Hank Parker did a show where the lake he fished was specially stocked with Barra. Can't remember if it was in FL or some other southern state. Looked like a fun fish to "hunt". But I agree with others, probably rather fish them in their natural habitat...except for Peacocks.
  19. Buzzbaits... Nada, zilch, zamboni.
  20. What about weight, Mike? Do they feel the same to you? I know the "hard weight" mentioned in the article, but just curious as to your opinion/feel having used both.
  21. @*Hootie Very nice!! Thanks.
  22. Phew. Thanks Mike. That makes me feel better, LOL. I love my FJ's, X-Ship is amazing. Plan on keeping them for a looong time.
  23. LOL, I almost put that first quote up, too. I just need to keep the Baitmonkey at bay since I just upgraded to FJ models...
  24. Gets great marks from the reviewer. http://tackletour.com/reviewshimanostradicfk.html
  25. We have a female cat - rescue from a likely auto-killed mother. She eats nothing human, only what's in her cannister. But dang, what an awesome feline she is She spars with our 2 year old black lab and our 6 year old neutered mix: Peekapoo/ Bichon Freese/Maltese. Guess my point is our cat eats nothing the dogs or humans eat....
