THE WALKING DEAD is back finally!!!
Great show, but I am so far behind it isn't funny. My eldest son and I are back on season 4, and a couple shows into 5, I think. My wife and our 2nd son are almost caught up. We are a family divided! Work schedules partly to blame. LOL

If money was no object....
$$ no object, I'd like to try the St. Croix Legend Elite rods. I've been so impressed by my Legend Tourney Walleye spinning rod, and I got that on an upgrade from an Avid. Unbelievable difference to my hands.

Newish to bass fishing
Welcome aboard! I'll suggest a wacky rig setup; however, it won't cover water like a spinnerbait, so that's a great suggestion, too. But the wacky rigged worm will work and likely help you build some confidence in your "game". Grab some worms like the Yamamoto Senko (knockoffs like the BPS Stick-O and YUM Dingers are cheaper and work well, too). Tie on a good hook like a Gamakatsu Wide Gap Finesse hook, bend your worm in 1/2 and place your hook through the middle of the worm. Cast it and let it fall and do it's shimmy thing. Watch your line for subtle pickups. When you see the line moving, or feel a thump thump thump, reel down and lift your rod to set the hook. Enjoy....

FLORO or BRAID? For spinner baits in heavy cover?
Welcome aboard, Brandon! I didn't fish Consesus much when I lived up there, but I can say that you can use braid and tie on a heavy fluoro leader (or the titanium wire leader that can knot up). Nastiest creature I've got down here, or at least one of the nastiest with teeth, is the chain pickerel, which isn't as big as your Tiger Muskies... I have caught them on 8lb mono. Also lost them on 15 lb copoly, so all depends on where they're hooked. http://www.basspro.com/Knot-2-Kinky-NickelTitanium-Leader-Wire/product/1305170641301/

Braid or fluoro?
I do all of that with braid + various leader sizes. Does well enough for me.

Power Pro Super Slick
I refrained from moving up to PPSS8 because I liked regular PP good enough. Then I found a deal on a 1500 yard spool of 15# SS8 and bought it. It is great stuff. I have no problems with line-to-leader knots that I normally tie, the Albright/Alberto, uni x2. Everything holds great, just make sure you cinch it down well, as usual.

2016 Shimano Stradic Ci4+
No, but I guess silver is the new black, eh? I do like the change in paddle, though.

caught 9.2 pound bass at nashoba (chickfila) memphis tn
Congrats. That's a Beast! I've seen bass with only one eye, not sure if from a hook or disease, so not really sure if it'll live or die. You released it, hope for the best.

Extra Stradic FK spool?
Did you happen to email the German ebayer to see how soon he/she could get it to you? Just curious

Best braid for Ultralight spinning?
I bought my 12' 98% graphite (?) from allfishingbuy.com and have used it with great success over the years for pannies up to 2 pound bass. Unbelievably fun! My sons also use Walmart-bought 10-20' long poles for fun, as well. We've caught a ton of fish from pan-cat-bass on them, not to mention turtles.

Hello from Western New York!
Hi Dave, welcome aboard! I'll assume you're a Bills fan. If that's the case, then an even warmer welcome, LOL! Long-Time Bills fan here. Looooong time.

Best braid for Ultralight spinning?
I'll defer to your expertise since I've not fished PP in such low diameters. Leaders, I don't fish below 4# anymore these days, but I used to. I need to break out my long poles and do some no-reel fishing soon. 2# test after panfish.

Braided line on spinning reel
Guess I was the only to reply to your other post with the same topic, so in case that is deleted, here's the reply I posted there: Welcome aboard, Edwin! No, but you'll need to either put a piece of tape on the spool or something else to hold the braid from slipping while you wind.

Question about Forumums
I generally either open in a new tab, or ignore the behavior. For me it really isn't an issue, although I can see how it can be for many.

PBJ or Black & Blue?
I have had the most success with PBJ and similar colors when I fish jigs. I've tried the black/blue but haven't had success with that color, even though guys I've fished with swear by it... Go figure....
