  1. They'll slowly sink, but should stand up in the "current" whilst on the bottom on a jig or shaky head setup. You could experiment in your bathtub with them....
  2. Other thing is if you're using any type of ****ing, javascript blocking software, or something like Ghostery. You'll need to make sure bassresource.com is on the whitelist.
  3. Welcome aboard, Bobby!
  4. Nice! Sustain and Crucial. Sounds really nice! As far as what I bought, a Stradic FJ 2500 and I upgraded (via Croix's upgrade) an Avid spinning rod to a Legend Tournament Walleye spinning rod 6'3" MLXF. Phenomenal combo.
  5. Welcome aboard! I'll second/third, whatever, the recommendations for the Lightning Shock rods. They're solid rods for a good price. As for Shimano reels, that what I choose. You can also look on eBay as you can often find significant discounts on new reels from reputable sellers.
  6. Good question, but I'm not sure there is a calculation to determine balance since it IS so subjective. At least I've never seen anything "agreed upon" in the industry.
  7. This. Definitely hit up eBay and look for sellers with very high ratings - 99.7 and up (IMHO). I've bought several reels online and never been disappointed.
  8. Welcome aboard, Josan!

  10. Saaaay, what kind of plants are those in the background? The smokable kind? LOL... But dang. That's gotta hurt.

    Welcome aboard!
  12. I've got one, used it for a while, now it holds extras and doesn't go with me much. For years I've gone through various methods of taking soft plastics with me. From keeping them in their bags and organizing them in gallon ziplocks to the bag you mention, to 3500 size boxes. I like the boxes best at this point. What I currently take out is a Plano Guide box with my main worms in the top section, then in the storae section I've got additional worms in their bags. Quite sure I'll change again when I think I've got a better idea, LOL. Then change back again. ...
  13. Wow! Nice fish!
  14. THIS is what I remember. Elbow-to-elbow crowds, sales reps from Daiwa, Shimano, local guys, etc. Spot on, mate.
  15. Welcome aboard! I'll throw 8# +/- out for a guess. Great catch, either way
  16. We got a solid 2", 3" in some spots today, but it is now melting with the rain/freezing rain.
  17. Yes! Not sure what Johnny Morris is up to... The Classic sales (for me) started going downhill a couple years ago when they shortened it, and reduced the amount of stuff on sale. I'm sure it was a business decision, but I wonder what their stats are now compared to then.

Welcome aboard, John! Very nice paint jobs!
  19. Agreed. Last couple of years it has gone downhill in my estimation. The offerings are just not as compelling to me. I will still try to get to this years' Classic, but nothing jumped out at me from the flier to get me pumped about it.
  20. Welcome aboard!
  21. Well, I'm a bigger fan of the 4" size worms over 5" and up. The 4s have brought me more bass in the 4-6 pound range than others. That said, my PB of 7.5# came on a 5" worm.....
  22. I've made some good "friends" out there with "locals" who fish the reservoirs I frequent. Normally we share info, what works, where, etc., and all of us have benefited. There are enough bass in the lake for us all to enjoy good days. That said, there are "jerks" out there, too, who will ask but you definitely get a "drift" or a "gut feeling" that they're not asking to make a fishing friend...and could care less about you. Those I tend to just wish "good luck" and move on.
  23. Can't help you there, but since this is your first post, welcome aboard!
