    Welcome aboard!
  2. For me, and this is ONLY my opinion based on my experience, the Albright and Uni-to-Uni for line to leader knots. The uni x2 is easy to tie on the water, and once learned, the Albright is, too, and is a slimmer knot to boot. Just my .02
  3. Welcome aboard, Chris!
  4. Welcome aboard!
  5. Welcome aboard, Steven! There's no right or wrong with leader length or size. Gary Yamamoto likes a long leader just like Shaw, but personally, I don't like long leaders. That's just my preference. I always use leaders on all my gear. They'll be anywhere from 4# - 15# depending on what, where, and when I'm fishing. Most common for me is 8#. Length? Depends. Most often I'll stretch my arms out two lengths while pulling a leader off the spool. Again, there's no right or wrong to your question, it's all personal preference based on experience, as you've read from Cap and A-Jay.
  6. Welcome aboard!
  7. Awesome catch! I venture anywhere from 5-7#
  8. 4" Bass Pro Stik-O
  9. Wow! Nice brownies. Wish I could fish for 'em down where I live. They don't swim our waters, sadly.
  10. Glenn Frey?
  11. Gorgeous hogs!!
  12. Welcome aboard, Sean!
  13. Oh I've used Dingers, but they're not go-to for me. I actually use BPS Stik-O mostly, and only a couple colors in GYCB that I can't get in other brands.
  14. Welcome aboard! Use what you are comfortable with! Do you catch fish? Then it's good. Doesn't mean it is the best of course, but when one is limited in time and how many setups are available, one does what works. Are you mostly fishing lures like crankbaits? You may be better off tying the line-to-leader with a knot like the Uni-to-Uni, then at the end of your leader tying on the snap/snap swivel. Other folks will chime in with additional suggestions.
  15. Another report discusses the models as well, talks about the track and impact changes for our areas, similar to Wxrisk... http://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-blogs/meteomadness/a-big-daddy-storm-is-possible-the-end-of-the-week/54873180

  21. So 70 is the new 50 size reels? Scorpion looks sweet, but thankfully, I'm not tempted!!! Take THAT BaitMonkey!
