  1. Never tried them, didn't even knew they had their own brand of plastics, let me know how they work out for you.
  2. Never used their hooks. Just about any kind of aftermarket hook is strong and sharper than the stock hooks on lures. I've heard good things about their fluorocarbon. Doesn't Van Damme swear by the stuff?
  3. Had a pack in my box, tried them a few times but really never caught much.
  4. I need to get a pair too, just make sure you ket a string this time that you can attach the sunglasses.
  5. So do you guys have any tips on how to prevent line twists with spinnerbaits. When I mean spinnerbaits, I mean the spinnerbaits like Mepps spinner. I saw one method, bend the wire. But wouldn't that cause the lure to swim differently and not function properly? I think that maybe adding a snap swivel may help because the middle part allows you to spin it freely. I need to find something, because I love trolling these lures in the lake near me. Problem is they cause line twisting big time, especially when trolling.
  6. Great to hear you make your own spinners, I do that too. I like using Berkley Powerbait worms on my custom spinners. It can be a very efficient lure. Great to have you aboard!
  7. That's crazy, looks like any car would bottom out in that situation!
  8. Mine will probably be a 4 pound smallmouth bass out of lake st. clair.
  9. I would definitely like to congratulate Manabu for the monster bass he caught, thing is amazing!
  10. Awesome find, I hope they have my state Michigan. I've been using DNR maps.
  11. So bad for me I'm checking out this forum twice a day.
  12. Home having a interesting teacher. Problem with some of these fishing shows is they get boring.
  13. Hmmm, I don't have anything too big. I usually change my fishing line every three months. Make sure I don't touch the bait. I definitely organize my tackle box every year. These are probably good pointers, not superstitions
  14. I'm watching this documentary off of netflix right now, called "Don't You Forget About Me." It's a documentary on John Hughes, you might not know the guy, but I know you fisherman know some of his films: Uncle Buck, Planes Trains Autmobiles, Ferris Bueller, Breakfast Club. He died this past year going into cardiac arrest, sad. I guess in 1991 he just vanished from the Hollywood scene. Must be why all the teen movies have gone down hill since then. My favorites were Uncle Buck and the Breakfast Club. He wrote and produced many other big name movies. One thing about his movies are they are definitely unique. Cool and different in their own way, no movie out there has their type of ora. John was definitely gifted! Anyways, I'm watching it now and I think there hoping to find out why he went into submission. Share your criticism towards his movies, I know you fisherman have some, lets hear it...
  15. First thing I thought too, fisherman need to follow the rules!
  16. Of course you can use jigs on spinning gear, been doing it for years. My brother use to use a baitcaster, but now he has switched over to spinning. I overall like the presentation better. I've been using the Pee Wee Gitzit and it's been doing really well on smallmouth bass.
  17. Seems to be a lot of posts about old lures. How about a new lure that's good to use on smallmouth bass? Is there any out there? Maybe even a new body style? I tried Gulp last spring and summer, but Gulp was pretty horrible. Didn't catch any fish on it other then a few crappie.
  18. Great to hear from a guy in Florida, I fished down there a couple times, lots of big bass in the freshwater spot.
  19. I would fish really light colors and fish them really slow.
  20. I only sometimes weigh, when the bass are big enough.
  21. No not smallmouth or largemouth, but I did have a big fish that got away. Have no clue what it was but it snapped my fireline, one hell of a strong fish.
  22. This one is pretty easy, I'll take the 100+ bass a day, that can be a lot of fun. Never had a day like that in a long long time!
  23. Hillarous, definitely up there with Shaun of the dead. The intro with Metallic is great!
