How do you kill a catfish?
Cut the head off.
-
unhooking catfish?
I would just put them on a ground and use a long set of needle nose pliers to unhook the lure.

How you store soft plastics ???
I keep it in the original bag, easiest and cleanest way I think, especially if they are scented.
-
Crankbaits and hard plastics???
Bomber is my favorite, it's dynamite on smallmouth bass in the lake near me.

How to Prevent Line Twists with Spinnerbaits?
No it is, I spool my line properly everytime on my spinning reel. I don't get much line twists when I'm casting, little hear and there. Trolling it's really bad, basically because you leave your line out and your lure is constantly twurling in the water. I'm going to try out a snap swivel, hope this works this spring. I'll definitely try bending the top just a tad on one of them too, see which one works the best. Thanks everyone for the help! By the way, what happened to the shysters? Looks like a good spinnerbait, I hate when companies cancel out a great lure. For instance, I can't find any of my old favorite Bomber crankbait colors, ticks me off!

Mattlures Ultimate Male Blue Gill
Just checked one out, looks very real. Wonder how well it swims and if the lure catches a lot of fish.

Sea Monster caught
Yeah they are pretty abundant when ice fishing in Lake St. Clair, my brother and friend use to catch them a lot. Awful looking creatures.

Where are the gobies just after ice out??
Gobies are probably hiding for winter, the fish probably act strange.

I would have to say 15 feet+

Are state records getting harder to break??
Scientists say the state records are getting harder to break because of all the fishing. They say this prevents certain fish from getting really big.

Goby - Food vs Predator
No kidding, never heard that about Salmon. That sucks! Sorry to be brash but that is flat out irresponsible. "Sportsmen" need to take management issues more seriously and not just view them as an inconvenience. Many management problems could have been prevented by responsible actions or sportsmen. Sure smallmouth are getting big eating them. But what about the population of other fish, and other forage. Great Lakes Salmon are a great example of the necessity to have a variety of forage. After years of gorging on Alewives biologists are finding the single protein diet is sterilizing salmon.

Smallmouth spawn
Dwight Hottle right on, I can't wait to do some Detroit river fishing for smallies.

Waders???
I would never do it, it's not worth the risk. If you hit a bunch of muck like bilgerat, you could actually be risking your life.

Fishing before a Front
My Dad has been saying this for years, but I haven't seen it much when fishing. It just depends on the the time of day and the fish.

How many NEW fishermen/women each year?
Would be interesting to get the official estimate. I bet it's low. I think a lot of these fisherman end up quiting too. Most the people I know have never kept up with fishing. Some say they are fisherman, but I know otherwise.
