  1. I cast right, then switch hands and reel right, too. That's how I learned, my dad is a lefty, so the handle was always on the right. He casted left, cause he was left handed; I cannot.
  2. X2, but... I find it more comfortable with the Septon grips and we'll see if there are differences in how they hold up.
  3. We should start a Chevy v. Ford poll. It would be right up there with Shimano v. Abu Garcia. I prefer the oval. I just renewed the plates for it after a long hiatus in the garage.
  4. The shadows on the water are only one factor. Also think about what lies on the bottom beneath the shadows- sometimes that is more important than the light penetration.
  5. I like 10 or 12 lb. Trilene XL for those applications. Abrasion resistance is irrelevant, and the line casts and handles very smoothly. Check for nicks and re-tie occasionally, but I have not had any issues. Try it, you may like it; if not, it is so inexpensive you will not feel too bad to chuck it.
  6. Sure if you enjoy tying and retying all day. I will say for most places I have fished I could get away with 5 rods. Let me guess... you fish with a senko 99% of the time? C'mon, whats it take, 20-30 seconds to tie a new rig? And if the Senko works, why not? Though I would wager his arsenal is deeper than that, just based on his contribution to these forums.
  7. Actually those black spots are signs of a healthy fish in a healthy environment. Not a bad thing at all.
  8. In the wind, walk the dog. Zara Spooks, Lucky Craft Sammys, Rapala Skitter Walks, XCalibur Jimmys... That new River2Sea bait from Larry Dahlberg that he showed at ICast looks interesting...
  9. I was thinking the same thing about that color. I don't really care for any of the others much though...maybe the craw one. Edit: actually that "MPS" metallic purple is pretty good looking to me as well.
  10. For those interested, $49 down from $69. I just noticed it while browsing around. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?type=product&cmCat=Related_IPL_122676&id=0041922121428a

  12. A massive slurpee from sheetz.... Massage and take her to get a pedicure/manicure. I find women really love those things, especially if your doing it with them ( I know, I know, heres my man card). But hey, if there happy, who cares!? 8-)... P.S. Dont forget the Slurpee You're not old enough to posses a man card. The required age as stated by the Man Union is 18 to become an apprentice man. At the ripe old age of 20 you can potentially be promoted to the rank of Man. Yeah.... Whatever you do, don't buy your girlfriend a fishing rod and say it's for her..... Yeah, what he said... Also, any metro behavior (Axe body spray, any grooming beyond shite, shower and shave, etc.) is punishable by a five year hold on man status. X2, or is it 3 now?
  13. I don't have one, but try vinegar. It works on everything else.
  14. Should be moved to the "Pampers" forum imo. naaaa. it will be great entertainment. In that case, I voted Shimano. The others are terribly inferior.
  15. Should be moved to the "Pampers" forum imo.
  16. We troll Rapala floating minnows behind lead quite a bit. It works. I don't know about casting it though.
  17. 55, if you go with any regularity, you will soon find out that 3 four pounders happen almost every time you go out.
  18. We have a Magellan in my wife's Jeep. It is super simple, and really affordable. Does everything we need. http://www.magellangps.com/products/product.asp?segID=354&prodID=2334 Take your pick, I think ours is a 2000 series.
  19. I am with you, I use Speed Stick and work up a nice lather. I gotta be sure, man. Now if they only made something strong enough for my feet. :-[
  20. I would probably spend some time in there...
  21. Goodbye Earl by the universally beloved Dixie Chicks.
  22. 80 bucks shipped huh? I'd like to see this deal. Clarus is right on.
  23. Do you prefer Werthers or Brach's butterscoth candies?
  24. Try to take a child or veteran along with you.
