deodorant question - totally random question

Featured Replies

This is a totally random question/concern but i really need to ask.

im finding that i need a new deodorant every two weeks, maybe 3. I use the Old Spice High Endurnace and it really lasts all day long when i put it on. AWESOME deodorant!!

question is this. on the average, how much deodorant do you go through and how often? it kills my wife that i need a new one every 2-3 weeks. is this common? i mean, i dont bathe in it and i dont think i put more on than i need to but her deodorant always lasts her a month +, easily. she doesnt stink, nor do i. but is it right to be going through deodorants so quickly?

whats your experience?  :-/

That is a lot of deodorant to be going through. How many times a day are yo putting deodorant on? I put deodorant on once a day after I take a shower and my deodorant will last me at least a couple of months. I use Mitchum Gel.

You are putting too much on or pressing to hard when going on.2-3 swipes lightly per armpit should be plenty.

I use the same one you do and it lasts me a good month.

The gel stuff however doesn't last long at all and is a little more messy,so i tend to stay away from those.

Same here.

try the old spice original anti pers/deo. (white stuff)

longest lasting and seems impervious to tolerance

I use Degree Endurance, the kind in the Blaze Orange plastic. Usually about 13 swipes does me good for a day, and last a good month or two. But i'm always worried about stench haha so I know what you mean!

I am with you, I use Speed Stick and work up a nice lather.  I gotta be sure, man.  Now if they only made something strong enough for my feet.   :-[

ex dos.

i dont need to use much to keep stinky pits away. i cant imagine how caked up your pits must be lol. either that or your hair just eats away at it when you apply.  :-?

more deoderant/antiperspirant = more stains on your shirt.

  • Super User

only the gel seemed to leave stains. the speed stick antiperspirant is solid and doesn't leave stains. for me at least...

  • Super User

I've never had a stain on my shirt from deodorant.

  • Super User

deodarant/antiperspirant is a big contributor to yellow pit stains...or so the random sign in my college laundry room said...

Gillette clear gel.  Just a little dab will do ya, don't bathe in it.  Once a day and I get at least a month out of it. 8-)

Try Secret, strong enough for a man but made for women.

I gave up deodorant a year and a half ago. nothing but poison seeping into your pores.I stunk for about 2 days, then my body adjusted to it.

You're body adjusted to it but did every one else? ;D

if I stink my wife wouldnt put up with it. the toxins from the deodorant go straight into your pores, and build up in your body, not good.

Megastrike. I don't even use a rod anymore, the fish jump into the kayak. The wife left and took the kids. The dog peed on my leg and left also.

But hey, it's all about priorities ;D
