  1. I would be interested in that product. Do you have any pics of it?
  2. I’m gonna bet it’s not the rivets bud. Especially with you saying it moves side to side. The same riveted reel foot is on my Chronarch A and I too thought the rivets were loose but they wasn’t. Try this, you need to shim it in the rod, take an old credit card and cut 1-2 pieces to match your seat on your rod and see if it doesn’t get tighter. I did this to mine over 20 years ago.
  3. I use Powell,Dobyns,Duckett, e21, Hammer, all star, and shimano. Some I like better than others and use them more but I use them all.
  4. I own 5 of the fury’s and the original Powell max rods but I’ve never had a max 3D in my hand. I like both the Powell’s and the fury’s. I’d probably go with a 3 power fury in 703 or 733 if given the choice. Very versatile rod.
  5. I own 5 of the Dobyns Fury rods. Great rods for that price point. The 734c is a little heavy for my taste but the others are fairly lightweight. 2-733c 1-734c 1-703c 1-705cb
  6. Those type of Abu's are notorious for this. I work on reels and have seen this in new and used ones. Make sure level wind guide is not hanging up and staying longer on the side that it is pilling up on. Just like others said, could be pawl/worm gear issue.
  7. Original Powell max 764 flip/pitch
  8. Inside the anti reverse housing, the sleeve on the drive shaft runs through it.
  9. Did you oil your anti reverse needle bearings? They need to be dry.
  10. The uni is all I tie and has been for years. Mono, braid, Fluoro, co-poly.
  11. I still have a small amount of 17# trilene photochromic, it was also produced in big game at one time as well. I still have some 15#
  12. Been using uni knot for years.Braid, mono, fluro, doesn't matter, never had a problem with that knot.
  13. You have to have at least enough mono backing to cover the bottom of spool or the braid will slip and drag will not work correctly.
  14. I have an old Chronarch A that I've had for probably 20+years that I still use,2 Citica E's but my 6 Curado D and Dsv's gets the most use! I can cast baits using 12 lb line on the 100D's that would usually require spinning equipment..Aluminum framed Japanese Shimano's.. I don't need anything else!
  15. Sounds like the line was not put on spool tight enough, put a glove on, wrap line around your hand and glove 4-5 times, dis engage reel and make quick snaps until you feel the line start to give, do not just straight pull as this will cause the line to dig in even more, if this doesn't work, you have no choice but to cut it off and buy new line. We all learn from our mistakes. Good luck!
  16. Do you have your line spooled to an 1\8" from edge of spool? even with a 1\16 oz bait, Something is not right to only be able to throw 10-15 feet. that's only 2 rod lengths.
  17. I've fished 1\4 oz jigs, lightweight tx rigs and 3\8 oz spinnerbaits with it and it serves them all well. Yes..the winn grips feel great! I would love to have them on all my rods.
  18. I have a 7' mh and I like it a lot! Just like everyone else says, it does have a paribolic bend to it which I like, I think they are great rods.
  19. I use 12 & 15# on my casting reels and it's done me well for years, its good stuff!
  20. CH 100A -7' 3" Hvy Cu 200E -7' MH Cu 100D 6' 10" Med Thats the reels i feel accomodates them the best..They all feel great to me and not tip heavy at all.
  21. All I use is the uni knot..Braid,fluoro,copoly,mono..never had this fail me,been tying it for yrs
  22. Been fishing Shimano for 30+ yrs so yes I'm loyal! They just work! Ive never even had a worm gear pawl go bad! Currently been using these for yrs (except the new Curado200I) 4-cu100D's 2-ci200e's 2-cu200e's 1-ch100a 1-cu200i 1-2500sedona
  23. Ensure that drag spring washers are either this way ( ) or this way )(
