Big bass patterns
If you saw the TV broadcast of the 2006 Bassmaster Open Championship on the AL River you saw the "bass-tracker unit". The deal was they went out and caught 3 bass 2 weeks before the tournament, a 2 lber. a 3lber. and a 6lber., and fitted them with a tracking device. Then they would follow the bass's daily movements. Well, it was very interesting in that the smaller bass never moved more than a hundred yards for 6 weeks, while the big 6lber. would swim almost 1/4 mile a day. What was really interesting was that the 6lber. had this one stump on a point he would always gravitate to, whenever the barometric pressure would drop he would swim around the point into a shallow ditch and feed but when the pressure started to rise he would go back to his stump. During the tournament a boat ran right over the 6lber and he didn't even move . But what I found really strange was 2 weeks after the tournament the 6lber. swam 5 miles up a creek, in one day, and sat up on a shallow point . I just think that is really strange in that most people think that big bass don't move around to much.

Whats your go to bait this time of year?
Bluegill colors are very effective during the pre-spawn and the spawn, as far as white colors my most productive winter bait was a white 3/8oz. jig other than that I suggest using white in the summer and fall to.

Alright guys lets see them
hmmmmmm............ :-?.......a hook maybe????

Whats your go to bait this time of year?

snagging illigal?
It's illegal in some states but I don't do it because it is plain bad sportsmanship

Something everyone can use...Class in session
My absolute favorite way to catch fish is pitching a jig. Rod: 7' Team Daiwa Heavy action flippin stik, or 8' Custom St.Croix Heavy action flippin stik Reel: Shimano Citica CI-200 6.3:1 retrieve, and Shimano Curado 200B 6.3:1 retrieve Line: 50lb. Stren super braid, or for clear water 20lb. Berkley Vanish fluorocarbon Jigs: for wood cover I use a 3/8 oz. Terminator Top-Secret jig in black/blue, green pumpkin/pepper, Skeet's secret, and black/brown/pumpkin. For matted grass I use a new Terminator 1 1/8 oz. Grass Jig in Junebug, and black/blue. For rocks and riprap I us a new Terminator 1/2 oz. Football Jig in black/blue, brown/purple, and western melon. Conditions: I love warm shallow muddy water for pitching, typically water temps between 63-70 degrees are the most productive. Sky conditions are key during summer and winter months. In summer I like an overcast sky, because then I know the bass are out lookin for a meal. And for winter I like a clear sunny sky, because then I know the fish will be up shallow in the warming water. But there's still the question of wind, when pitching I like almost no wind at all, a slight ripple is fine but I don't want a strong wind. Boat positioning: Boat position is very important when fishing shallow cover. I position my boat as far away from the cover as possible and I want the boat to be down-current, or down-stream, from the cover. I never approach a piece of cover straight on, always slide in from the side and parallel it with your boat. Also turn off all of your electronics and try to keep trolling motor use to a minimum.

Bass Fishing: An Olympic Sport?
Well, we all no what would happen if Bass fishing became an olymipc sport.....KVD would win every gold medal for the next 20 years But hey, it could be an alternative to fishing tournament trails. If you don't have the money to fish tournaments but still want to compete then shoot for the olympics. Oh, and there is a world bass fishing tournament kinda like an olympic event. It was aired on TV a couple years ago, KVD, Tim Horton, Denny Brauer, and one other guy made up the US team while Takahiro Omori and a bunch of other guys made up the International team.

when is your weakest time to fish
I SUCK at winter fishing, I can't find the fish let alone catch'em. I can probably count on one hand the bass I've caught in winter in the past couple years.

going barbless
When flyfishing I always use barbless hooks, especially when trout fishing.

Bass survival w/ lure in mouth
I have never heard of or seen a bass die because it had a hook or lure stuck in it. Most of the time when I break one off they start jumping and trying to shake the lure out.

RATTLETRAPS
Yes it actually has, but after a little trial and error I figured out the right amount and right place to insert the glue. Or as you have done you can just take the BB's out. Either way works.

Good Fishing Games
Rapala Pro fishing is pretty good 8-)

AAAAGH!!!

AAAAGH!!!
yup, it was my left arm which is my casting/pitching/writing/everything arm. :'(

AAAAGH!!!
;D ;DI might have to get a couple Shimano Castaic's so I can fish with one hand ;D ;D
-
RATTLETRAPS
Nope, just drill a hole and squirt some glue in there. But as Whittler said, you better take one apart so you know where the BB's are located and the correct spot to drill the hole.

AAAAGH!!!
Well, I finally did it, I broke my wrist last night at baseball practice. We were in the ER until 1:00 AM and had to go to an orthopaedist this morning. I just keep thinking to myself "Why now, why not when I fell out of that tree 2 weeks ago or when I flipped the wagon down a 10ft. hill or when I got shot with a roman candle and fell of the spillway? It just had to happen now" I'm probably going to miss school ball tryouts BUT I won't miss the spring spawn so I guess everything evens out huh.

Alright guys lets see them
Sorry, the link doesn't work. Well, just got to www.another site.com and click on the icon that says "online tackle store" and go to the search box and type "ledgebuster". They have a bunch of models listed.
-
Alright guys lets see them
The white one is a 3/8oz. model made with a white stamina inc. eagle eye spinnerbait head. I'm not sure what the wire diameter is since I made it a couple months ago. The skirt is silicone white/shad scale pattern with a few strands of silver flash material tied in. I'm not sure about the size of the blades either since I just kinda found'em lying around, but they are both silver and the willow is a diamond pattern blade. And I think the ledgebuster spinnerbait you are talking about might still be in production, check out this link and see. http://www.another site.com/tacklestore/search.cfm

ughhh
Welcome to the forum, I myself am a young angler. Just remember the equipment doesn't catch the fish, the man does.
-
Alright guys lets see them
It doesn't really matter to me, but if I'm looking for more flash I'll use the stamped or diamond pattern blades.

Alright guys lets see them
Here's a few jigs and spinnerbaits I made, I'm still working on painting that jerkbait.
