U vibe worm in white, spinner bait willow leaves, white. Underpin w swimbait. If they are really keyed in they won't bite an artificial for me.

Maybe try switching to a trickworm.

I have tried Suffix, Spiderwire, power pro, and Berkley fire line. I use powerpro 65 lb on my BC and fireline 8 lb on spinning. Have not tried smaller powerpro on spinners or larger fire line. Fireline will stain your fingers at first. I do use braid almost 100 per cent. +/- leader.

Buy the kayak. You won't have to carry much more gear, because you can't. But you can explore more and really pick apart areas.

John Geirach said that fishing is the one corner of your life where you can keep things simple. I have not found that to be true. I àlways wonder what else they will bite. However, fishing from a kayak forces you to pare it down.

You are opening up a can of worms, my friend. (Pardon the pun) most people on this site hate swivel snaps. They don't hold up, they impede action, they are communist, sissy, etc. At the risk of being banned, I have used them with no issues. I used one when I wanted a tiny amount of weight fishing worms and started slaying them.

Very similar deal for me, except for the golf part. I have accumulated a bunch of different gear and fly tying stuff. Moved around, and it seemed everywhere I went I needed a different setup. Salt, Trout, Salmon, steelhead, panfish, bass, etc. It has been fun. Jack of all trades, master of none.

I have caught some there with a shake head with Junebug trick worm. If clear I would go with GP or Watermelon red flake. There is a creek channel toward the middle. You are correct though, every square foot has great structure. Keep at it.

Hit the pads. Any place that is different, like an indentation or pocket. I agree on Junebug. Also Scuppernong and Candybug. I think glitter flake helps.

One of the saddest things I ever saw was a guy who liked to fish who opened a bait shop and slowly lost his retirement savings.

I fish muddy and stained water. White or white chart for moving baits, yellow on top, junebug, candybug and green pumpkin plastics, black and blue jigs. Plus about twenty other colors.

I also think you should change up colors. You want something dark, something gaudy and something natural. You need black, brown, tan, green, purple, red, maybe pink or yellow, white. Don't limit yourself. You need some with glitter and some plain. Don't forget Junebug!
