  1. 1/4 oz football in brown and orange with a matching double tail grub trailer, fished just off the outside weed edge.
  2. I was trying the strike King 1.5, I think I'll go back to my Normans and Bandits, as they are smaller profile. Good stuff guys, thanks.
  3. I'm going to get more into it. I honestly think when I fish deeper I'm not fishing the right stuff. I'm usually on more weed edges than hard structure. I think I have to find more stumps and rock in the deeper areas, like when I fish shallower.
  4. I have an older Lowrance that I have on the console. Here's the question. Do they make a "T" connector so I can run the antenna to the bow and use the same unit or possibly use the same antenna on a similiar unit? Thanks.
  5. Thanks for the replies. It's funny, I like throwing them and have success with a baby 1-, but go a little deeper and nothing. I'll definitely try the suggestions. thanks.
  6. What am I doing wrong? I bump them into everything, vary retrieves and everything else. I ocassionally will catch one on them. I put it down, pick up a jig or spinnerbait and start catching. How do people just pull up on a spot and start catching with them?
  7. I use a part of a 4" straight tail finesse worm as a trailer on small 1/8 and 3/16 finesse jigs. Works like a charm.
  8. It's probably color. Try changing, just like you would a crankbait or spinnerbait.

    Nice job.
  10. I think they're awesome. Really nice job.
  11. I try to go as light as possible and slowly swim it along the bottom, shaking i every now and again. Honestly, it's very annoying and alot of times I go to a wacky rigged bait.
  12. Anythings possible, I use painted blades all the time, I don't see why a 1/2 painted one won't work, Give it a shot.
  13. Black, green pumpkin or blue fleck, sorry but have to thow in red Shad also
  14. I like topwater, but I have to say my favorite is a 7" black Berkley Power Worm.
  15. Like Cadman said. Also you could use vinyl paint. A couple of coats over a white base and your good to go. I also like to match the heads to the skirt, but I've caught tons of fish on an all white spinnerbait as well.
  16. You don't need a heavier, just a better hook. I use Mustad Black Nickels and never had a problem. They have smaller hooks for smaller jigs. Send me a pm and I'll send you a sample. Dominic
  17. Nice job.
  18. I'd like to get in if there's still time. I'll be fishing NY and CT this year. Thanks.
  19. Here's some larger pics. Maybe I'll try the lighter hook. I haven't had a problem with the ones I've been using though.
  20. Had them on my rangertrail since new in 98'. Virtually no maintanace. Check the sight glass, check bearings for noise occasionally, change oil every couple of years if no problems. I you have a seal failure you'll eaither see a drip or the oil will turn milky, like a lower unit. 13 years and still going like day one.
  21. Salt, no license. They just did away with it. Freshwater bass is closed until June first. No fishing, no catch and release. The jetties in long beach have been getting some stripers. Do a search for bay park fishing station and causeway bait and tackle, they have reports or you can call them up and ask questions. Also sone party boats in point lookout and Freeport for stripers and fluke.
  22. Bank fishing: 1-2 rods Limited asst. of tackle in sone ziplocks and maybe a tiny box that all fit in my pockets. I hate having to keep picking stuff up to move from spot to spot. I also only bank fish on small local ponds and know what I need, so I eliminate everything else.
  23. I'll try to post some.
  24. Nibbling on the ear.
