I like topwater, but I have to say my favorite is a 7" black Berkley Power Worm.

Jitterbug, any color is fine as long as it is black. ;)

I guess I don't use top water enough. Will need to correct that. I just use a black worm.

Black jointed jitterbug. The big one. This is the only lure that i bring when night fishing. I baught 10 of them just in case. They are amazing. I never changed the hooks and i never missed a fish. I recently changed to Owner st-36 because the hooks were a bit rusty.

I never tried the jointed one, is it really that much better than the non-jointed one? How much does the action differ?

I try to keep things really simple at night by having no more than 3 rods on the deck rigged with the following.

1/2 - 5/8 oz. spinnerbait with a black/blue skirt

1/2 oz. buzzbait

For plastics I use a 1/4 oz. flipping jig head rigged with an 8" - 10" worm or brush hog.

8" Zoom big dead ringer in red shad, assorted crankbaits...Bandit's(black) and Bomber fat free shad(red) get the most use.

Y’all can play around on the bank all y’all want!

I’m going after the big girls with Texas rigged plastics or a big ole jig ;)

Another black Jitterbug fan here. I also get good results with a black 10" Culprit or Powerbait worm and a big ol' double Colorado spinnerbait.
