Double Weed Guard Molds?
Just use coated seven strand fishing wire. Make sure you get a heavy enough wire, cut it double it and glue it in the hole where the fiber guard goes. Then separate. I 've been doing it for 10 years this way.

Finesse Jigs Flare
Lots of strands. It looks fuller than a normal 50-60 strand skirt.

Any Long Island Bassers...
Ever try blydenburg, they rent rowboats. It's got real good fishing also. Those small ponds off Montauk hwy around moriches are good also. I'm looking to pick up a 10' Jon boat or similar to fish a bunch of those smaller long island lakes. I've done real well on ronkonkama, but got kick off due to the motor on the back of the boat. I had it up and a bag over the prop and they still kicked me off.

Any Long Island Bassers...
Yup. Fish a bunch of lakes in Nassau County during the week and then drag the boat upstate or to CT on the weekends.

Best Used Ranger
I think that's a little high, but if in great shape its a great boat. I'm pretty sure those models were renamed and tweaked around 1999, 2000. Lots of room and a good ride for a 19 foot boat. A 150 or 175 pushes them pretty good.

Best Used Ranger
1997 461VS. Bought it new, still looks like new, except for the seats and still love the boat. I've had it on Ontario and Sodus a number of times, really like Sodus. It's a haul from Long Island though.

Looking For Some Info
I'll be in Marlborough Ma. for the second weekend in a row for a hockey tournament and would like to do some pond fishing for bass during the down time. Does anyone know some easy access, local ponds or lakes my son and I can fish? Thanks, Dominic

Swim Jig Question
Its basically like any other jig. You can fish it any way it catches. The only thing I recommend is, if the swim jig is working on the bottom, get some head styles that work better for bouncing like footballs or brush styles and get the same colored skirts on those.

Jigs
Definitely! Im making up some 1/16 and 1/8 wire guard round and football jigs for some guys now. They work excellent all year long. Fish them the same as you would a regular jig. Easy to throw or skip on a spinner with 10lb line.

Spring Bait
i wouldnt leave the dock without a suspending Rogue, a spinnerbait, a hair jig and a regular jig this time of year.

Hair Jigs
I like 1/8 and 3/16 round/ball heads w/ 2/0 hook. No brush guard. Check with Cadman, he has any heads you'd need.
