  1. if no top water, i would probably go to a fluke or jerkbait.
  2. cBooms@SML posted a topic in Fishing Tackle
so when do all the products featured in ICAST hit the shelves?
  3. search craigslist for a good deal on one of those. thats how i got mine
  4. i bought my two year old 10e and my 2 year old minn kota 36lb trolling motor together for 550. they were only used twice! the package also came with an anchor and 100ft of rope as long as a light and battery
  5. theres a section in bassmasters magazine that is all about readers ideas on homemade storage. any of you guys have any special storage ideas? ive heard of using medication bottles and tic tac containers to hold hooks and sinkers.
  6. i figured that the rubbermaid would also be big enough for a cooler. and in the situation your in with everything sliding, bungee cords will become your bestfriend haha im fortunate enough to have a golf car at our place so i drive down and pick everything besides the boat up and then i come back for the boat.
  7. we have a 200hp yamaha 2 stroke. im not sure if you can idle it or not, but try idling it at a high rpm for a while, just to get the oil and gas through the system to kind of flush it i guess
  8. I pour the plaster into an Altoids tin or other appropiately sizer container. Take whatever jig trailer you want to copy and push it into the plaster until it's flush with the surface, let the plaster dry thoroughly and (carefully) remove the trailer from the plaster. Tom ohhhh! i always put the plaster over the lure! : dang, that makes so much more sense, thanks!
  9. another one in maryland here! i live and fish in bowie, im 14 so i dont have a job, but i love fishing a lot! im gettin bored with the places im at now, but for now they will have to do.
  10. im 14 and started looking for a jon boat to fix up two years ago. i had been scowering craigslist constantly for one, and then around my birthday in march this year, i found and bought my own boat. its a '08 Pelican 10e. its a green slug, but i love it. its awesome and soooo much fun to fish from!
  11. what about those new wright and mcgill skeet reese reels? i saw the new line he has comin out of spinning and casting reels and they are $99
  12. for some reason, when i fish the fluke as a jerk bait, it seems to curve to one side no matter if the hook is straight and is rigged weightless t-rig or nose hook.
  13. of course, the dolly arms are a bit wide, but we will adjust that when we get down to virginia to my boat. they are supposed to go in the middle of the two pontoons. the following is one more pic of the boat mod.
  14. here are the mods i made. i used a plastic storage box for more room, and a lid so i could keep the rain and sun off of it. my dad also made a little dolly for me, its really easy and simple. he put bolts and such in it so its collapsible and he made it in about 15- 20 minutes.
  15. the second weight takes the action away from the first worm. i dont think this would work.
  16. the strikes i get on buzz baits are subtle ones when the bass barely breaks the surface and takes the lure under.
  17. awesome! i will need to try this sometime!
  18. thanks man, great tip!!
  19. the only problem i can think of is the booyah buzzbaits. all of their buzzbaits come with clackers i think, im not a fan of them. i've never caught a bass with a buzzbait w/ clacker, only plain buzzbaits.
  20. oh no, that made perfect sense, thank you!
  21. how do you fish that kind of rig?
  22. early morning up till about 10:30 on an overcast to partially sunny day, the topwater bite is on around docks and along rip-rap leading to deep water and such. i've seen guys fish the shoreline with flukes in the morning and catch bass. make sue you hit the shallow points in the morning and evening though. good luck!
  23. @vapredhunter, do you live on the lake? if so where? im over in crazy horse
  24. i live in maryland, but i fish SML too! love it so much! check out www.limit-5fishinginfo.com its a forum of a few guys who primarily fish SML and other lakes as they are tournament fishermen too
  25. cBooms@SML replied to brian_82's topic in Bass Clubs
