Good point also puts way less strain on a BIG fish and gives them maximum chance of survival. Who doesn't like increasing your odds anyway!? Trust me even with heavy braid, and what you think is a great hook set your still going to lose some good uns'.

50# braid on frogs so you can pull a 10lb bass out of the 20lbs of slop she's buried in. It doesn't defeat the purpose it increases your chances of landing a BIG bass. IMHO

So, for my 1000th post I want to give a big thank you to all you guys here at BassResource! I have learned so much in the 400ish days I have been a part of this wonderful community. I’ve met some new friends and had a blast conducting the Lure Swap. I’m always excited to update you guys when I catch a good un’ or make a new……to me discovery. You guys have become like a little family to me, and I always get excited to see some of the beauties you guys are catching. Thanks for everyone here at the best site on the net! Hookingem.
