x2. at my lake the fishing piers have like 4' high rails (sucks to fish rod down techniques and there is no shore lol) but once i get his mouth out of the water i grab the line and pull him up, but make sure he's good and tired so he doesnt shake free. That must be quite frighting when you catch anything bigger than 2 pounds.

X2 I have no idea how often we see reel's that drag washers have been woren out. After every use with a baitcasting reel one should completely back off the drag!

It's really IMO too hot for jerkbait fishing right now but wait for those water temps to drop and oh you have yourself a fish catching machine! IMO Rapala husky jerks are the 2nd best jerk baits on the market only under LC Pointer's. Just vary up your retrive alot until you find the right one. The fish will let you know which one is the right one.

I have caught fish on the chatterbait all year round. Rig it skirtless in the spring with a live magic shad as a trailer drop it into a bed jig it up once let it fall back into the bed and watch them inhale it!

I am looking at investing in a new rod and the crucial and cumara are some definite options right now. I am wondering what you guys think of the quality of Shimano rods? Don't hear to much about them here. Let me hear your opinions!

These look really neat, seem kinda gimmicky but might have to give them a shot.
