now THAT thing is totally amazing so tell me something if y'all don't mind... I am not a rich person... so would a rod like that run me? I probably will have to sell some of my old hotwheels to justify it to the wife actually I have a few of them that I would only have to sell ONE of get enough money... AL I can just imagine a 7ft rod in that dark green color heavy action rod... with a DARK cork split handle with camo swirl on the split grip and khaki thread on the spiral swirl mounted guides... I would want SFC Algiere painted on it with SFC rank to the left of my name.... *sigh* yeah THANKS A LOT hahahahhahah now I need to figure out how to make this thing reality

hey can I be on your pro staff? hahahahaha very cool.. I wish I had room to do what your doing... beings emerald green is my favorite color and I am in the Army... I would use a khaki (sp?) color wrap or olive drap... would compliment the dark green VERY nice IMO... AL

what I meant by this was in the old days of this league they would take pictures of the ladies all dressed up and looking "lady like" didn't anyone see the movie league of their own? they even made them learn how to walk lady like...

I actually LIKE IKE... he seems like a really good guy, and I think he is good for the sort.... I just wish he would tone it down a bit.... catch a 10lb bass in a tourney and break dance on the bow all you want... catch a keeper and pump your fists a couple of times and maybe a woop... but dang you would think every fish was a lunker AL

I hear what your saying Top... I wasn't being hard on the kid... I just think that if he wants to play with the "big dogs" he needs to act like one of the big dogs... I guarantee you that no one is going to give him any type of a "pro staff" deal the way things are... I could send him 5 packs of free stuff but that would be me just being nice to him... He isn't looking for that he is looking to be a Big Dog and as such I am treating him like an adult. Its not me being mean.. its me treating him as an equal.. NOW if he was just showing his enthusiasm that would be different he would wouldn't be getting any flack from anyone... remember I am tough on everyone... myself included... in fact I am probably harder on myself than on anyone else..Hell I would glady go fishing with ANYONE just for the pleasure... and I 100% agree the last thing you want to do is "beat down" a kid.. but on the same token the last thing in the world you want to do is just blow sunshine up someones butt and encourage him to think that stuff will just be given to him because "he wants it' isn't right, he doesn't even take time to spell things correctly... OH NO I DON'T have A firewall... hahaha turns out I had TWO FIREWALLS... one in the software for my wireless router and one in the form of Symantic Client Firewall hahahahaha.. so if you turn off ONE of the firewalls this site works just fine!!!!!! just figured I better follow up and expose my findings (stupidity) so that if others have this issue they can work thru it MUCH quicker than I did AL

thanks Glenn... I did some more brainstorming last night... I am running a wireless router and have my desktop hard wired and my laptop is wireless... so I am thinking it may have something to do with that.. I need to do more troubleshooting when I get the chance... thanks for all the input AL

Kill the guy with kindness... read up on the rules and make sure you have your ducks in a row... next time he gives you a hard time.. just stop fishing and have a calm discussion with the guy... if he stays calm then point out the benefits of the way you fish etc. if he is nice and you start having a two way discussion... invite him to come fishing with you some time to get the experience from YOUR point of view... I know there are a lot of IFs here but if calmer heads prevail you never know you just may make another friend and never have a problem fishing that dock again... but then you have the guys that you just can't reason with... THEN you tell him to quit being an "Richard" and read up on the rules before showing his AL

I went ahead and joined... I figured if I like it I can renew next year if not.. I will have learned a lesson.. but its the ONLY Bass Club in town so it was either join this one or keep trying to learn fishing on my own.... thanks for all the input.. AL
