I am going thru the same deal right now with my daughter.. hers is going to run 285 and I know her.. she will lose it LOL AL

but I refuse to complain... just being out on the lake and wetting some line is great... just need to get to the catching part... for some reason my old reliables (trick worms, or Senkos) are not working tried shakey head, drop shot, jigs... nota.. *shrug* oh well.. could be worse huh? AL

its hard as all get out... but tighten down a bit on your spool brake and practice practice practice and expect a LOT of professional over runs AL

I would venture to say the smoothness is inline with the MG... as far as durability... I just got it yesterday... but the "feel" is about the same as a 100 or MG is... if that makes any sense... AL

actually I have some neighbors that are wanting me to take them out and teach them how to use a baitcaster... so the Citicas and the 200s will be used for instruction purposes... the 100s and the MG are still going to be active in my arsenal... they are still awesome reels... the 200s are fine reels. I just like the compactness of the 100 size and the new Es

I am a terrible tackle junkie... that is just what I pulled out for comparison... I actually have 2 100Ds, 3 200Ds, 1 MG50, 2 Citicas, and now one of the Es. I plan on getting two more of the 200Es also

I have one round one on a swimbait set up... I prefer the low profile myself... AL

I stopped by the Savannah BPS tonight and I have the HONOR of being the first person there to purchase the NEW 200E7 from there SO here is my first impression.... WOW... WOW... and more WOW... it casts like a dream... fits in my palm amazingly... I just cast out on the cul-de-sac but tomorrow if the weather holds out I plan on properly trying it out... the comparison between the old 200 and the new 200 is STARK... I like this reel more than my MG... it feels just as nice and costs almost 100 bucks less... I hope this help some of y'all make your mind up.. this is a huge winner IMHO and on my new Falcon rods... fogitaboutit.. I haven't been this stoked about a new "toy" in a VERY long time... AL

I am a glutton for punishment... I use a BC for EVERYTHING... to include "trying" to skip docks AL

pssst young grass hoppa ... the curado is the best REEL for the buck ever made according to us members of the Shimano Posse... its not a rod... now if you want a good all around rod at a reasonable price check out the Compre... I own two, one in casting, and one in spinning that my dad uses when he visits... no complaints at all.. they are fine rods... AL

yes I was WANTING to try it out today before Hannah hits... but the post log in automated system for checking into the ponds is down so no one can fish... GRRRRRRR AL

We are preparing for our first hurricane. Hanna it looks like is going to just glance us... but this is my first encounter with a hurricane... not really looking forward to it... soooo I will go fishing today with only 40 mph winds predicted there isn't really any preparations to make. AL

Well she holds the checkbook so its going to be tough... i have one more reel covered..but the third will take some creative financing... as for the custom rod.. she doesn't think I NEED one... but she said I could get it for my promotion present... AL

ARGH!!!! I just checked on my order and all the sudden the 7:1 is on back order... NOW I am sooooo not happy... *sigh* AL

Well I got tired of walking into the BPS and them not having the new Curado and so I just ordered one from the site that Mr Green posted on another thread... so I now have ONE coming. I eventually want three two burners and a slow one... Also I received two new Cara Rods in the mail from Falcon... Cara Finesse Jig--Split grip 6ft 10 MH , Fast tip that will get the my first new curado then they also sent me a Cara Weightless Worm 6ft 7 MH X-Fast Tip that will get my second new Curado, from what I hear these rods are a huge improvement on what was already a gread rod. I have an origional as well as a lowrider already so I am sure I will be more than happy with these two rods... initial impressions are... light with good backbone and I like the fast tips... and then I am working on a getting a beautiful custom rod and that will get the third... wife doesn't know about the second two so I will have to space them out a bit ;D I will let y'all know how this transaction goes... I haven't ever ordered from this company before but they have already emailed me twice once acknowledging that I ordered and the second was to verify the order... none the less that isn't a cheap purchase so I will naturally be apprehensive until the reel arrives... AL

That is awesome... I wish I could get together with some of y'all for a day of fishing... I have had a couple of folks show some interest... I am glad to see some of y'all got to get some fishing in and a good grub on.. AL
