  1. Those Rage tails are great!!!
  2. Thats a brute, congrats man!!
  3. I use 45lb Powerpro. I really don't think it needs to be burned, but I guess I am just finiky..lol..
  4. My fishing buddies laugh at me when I burn the end of braid line. Everytime I re-tie a different lure on my braid, I burn the end. Am I to picky?? Or is this behavior normal?? For some odd reason I think the line is going to become undone if I don't burn the end. I think I am not crazy..lol.
  5. So far so good using the uni-knot. I haven't had any issues.
  6. Killer paint job!! I personally love orange and green on my cranks. Keep up the great work.
  7. This Rage tails are the only trailers I will ever use, they are such a versatile lure.
  8. Like someone already mention, use a trailer hook.
  9. I can sum it up with one word, IGNORANCE!!!!
  10. Thanks buddy, I keep forgetting the search engine..
  11. What knots are you guys using to tie these two together?
  12. That makes a lot of sense, acouple weeks ago I took my wife fishing to that pond and we caught some huge brim. We maybe caught 2-3 dinks, we caught 20 something brim in maybe an hour of fishing.
  13. Great set-ups!!!! Shimano will last a lifetime!!! Congrats.
  14. Done that, this is the problem, the lilly pads are so close together that the frog does not or bearly touches the water. I am casting from the bank, so I am limited. Also, lily pads and other aquatic plants surounds the bank.
  15. I just got permission to fish a private pond that no one fishes except the owner. He only fishes 4 or 5 times a year for brim(he is an older man so he does not fish for Bass). I know for a fact that the pond has brim, some cats, shad, and Bass. The owner has 3 giant Bass mounted, and all three of them are over 12 pounds. The pond is about an acre big, lilly pads, and some other plants that are under water are abundant. Here is my problem, I've fished the pond 7 times and have only caught 2 good fish(2lb range). I work all day, so I normally fish after 5 pm. I just can't seem to find a lure that works good. I've tried, lipless crankbaits, shallow cranks, swimbaits, senkos, and other plastics. I've about thrown everything and can't find a pattern. I've also used spinners baits, some jigs, drop shots, wacky worms, so I am feeling a little lost..lol... This pond whips me every time. I fish some ponds around that same area and never, I mean never, have I had this problem. When I know I am going to that pond, I feel like I am going to lake sinclair here in GA...lol.. What would you do if you were in this situation??
  16. I've been fishing all my life, but living in Puerto Rico "Bass fishing" was not a priority. I started fishing Peacock Bass and when I joined the Army, a good friend of mine introduced me to Large Mouth Bass. that was 6 years ago, and now I can't get enough of it..lol..
  17. My best friend owns a tackle shop, so I am very blessed
  18. Jerk baits, crank baits, top water, texas rig.
  19. I've had a great year so far. I caught my biggest Bass as of date 6lbs. Last year I was catching quantity, this year I am catching quality, I've caught several 2-3 pounders and countless 1-2 pounders, so far my fishing is going great!!!
  20. 2 weeks ago I hooked the biggest bass of my life, I had him almost at my finger tips and then he just spat out the rapala x-rap that was in his mouth. I was about to throw up!!!!!!!! He had to be atleast 12-14 pounds.
  21. I am just getting my feet wet with big swimbaits, and I am was wondering if braid affects the swimbait ability. I will tossing a 6'' huddy baby bass, and some 5'' mattlures blue gills. Any advice will be appreciated, and if you use a specific set up that works for you, what is it? Thanks
  22. I went to a new pond that I've hooked some good ones before and was throwing my BBZ slow sinking shad, I caught 4 cats between 3-6 pounds in 2 hours of fishing. That was a first for me.
  23. I had such a big head when I was a teenager, my father would try to teach me different knots for my rigging, but I would never listen. I lost so many fish to unproper knots, when I finally listened to him and learned how to tie the good ole trusty palomar and the uni-knot, my days of losing fish due to knots were over!!
  24. Great craftmenship!!!
