Lace on a 3" grub on a trailer hook and have the best of both worlds. You should also do yourself a favor and check out Glenn's vid on spinnerbaits...he's not only the admin and owner of this fine site but quite the spinnerbait aficionado and a darn good spinnerbait fisherman at that.

If you're expecting 65* weather, go fishing in the afternoon and fish the upper end of the lake, around rock etc. You can even fish the upper part of the water column where the surface temps may be a few degrees warmer which would draw some bait fish. Just a few degrees warmer doesn't sound like much, but it could be a difference. Good luck either way!

What are you guys expecting now? It appears it's going to stall over VA & NC and the rain is supposed to come up the coast and get us either wet or heavy snow depending on how the it shifts.

To be honest I would try the large one, but its hard for me to tell based on the pic if it would work or not. Put it on and see if the prop freely spins.
