Working to Stay Lean ~
Oh man, I was thinking about how cooked I feel lately and the thought of taking time off and switching things up. You beat me to it @A-Jay. Enjoy the time and get after it when you’re ready. Good luck on the new gig. Tired today, but the show still goes on. Have a great weekend buddy.

Working to Stay Lean ~
Another long busy week but the workout train rolled along. Thoracic spine is finally back to normal. Was getting frustrated there with tightness and lack of mobility. I’d say I’m glad that’s over but it’s always going to a work in progress. Been feeling really good mentally and physically, although my mother in law’s health has really deteriorated. Gonna be a bit of a roller coaster here for a couple of weeks. Will be hitting it later today to close out the week. Giving the body a much needed break. ItZit for now. Chat later

I know what you mean A-Jay, although I know I'm being disingenuous in trying to compare knowing you're 7 years ahead, but there's just nothing like feeling...you know...right. Took a step back this week to work on a still stiff t-spine. Lowered the weight, introduced a rotation (transverse plane) movement, upped the reps to a more strength endurance type exercise. Feel waaaay better now. I plan on doing that for the next 2 days and will hit the heavier weight on Monday. ItZit for now. Chat later

I hear that. My body feels so much better after pulling exercises. After sitting in front of a computer all day, a good pull workout is the perfect RX for it.

Working to Stay Lean ~
Been busy but the workouts are still happening. Missed 1 the other day. The day just flat out got away from me. Been feeling pretty good lately although I noticed some t-spine tightness today. Just one side. Had to spend time unlocking it. Not too bad, but it could present a problem in the future if I let go. Oh well, it all worked out well and the lb’s got moved. ItZit for now. Keep at it, man.

How about them LIONS!
It was great to see the Lions win. Great to see new blood competing for a championship run. Now to figure out which side of the fence @12poundbass is on: Bills? Lions? Hmmmm!

Back at it today. Weekend was derailed with the record storm surge in Maine. Whole beach community was under water. Felt great start to finish today. Back to work tomorrow. Will probably do some maintenance to get ready for Wednesday’s bout with the iron. Looks like you’re settling right in to the new program @A-Jay!

Working to Stay Lean ~
Little sore today @A-Jay? Had a great workout today. Felt great and head space was there again. Hoping to get out of this funk I’m in soon. Hope you have a great weekend. We got some heavy rains coming in tonight and tomorrow I’m hoping to get my generator up to Maine and get it ready to go for whenever.

Program looks like a winner @A-Jay, best of luck with it. Today was one of those magical days where everything felt right. Felt strong start to finish. Joints were warm and mobile which, to me, means that flexibility was on point. Felt very stable with strength work as well. Most of all, head space was focused and very positive. It's been a few weeks where I've been able to maintain a consistent workout schedule which is key for me. Nutrition is coming back...of course that's always the hardest part of the whole health train, isn't it?

Getting after it today...which is good, I need the head space EDIT Felt surprisingly great today. Made a change to my warm up routine and have added a half kneeling windmill to open up my hips, provides t-spine extension and rotation and mobility in the shoulders. Just sets up for a fluid workout. 1 more tomorrow to end the week. Have a good weekend.

Working to Stay Lean ~
I was able to get in a couple of workouts since I posted last Tuesday. Not so much lifting, especially heavy, but more of unlocking my body. T-spine, ankles and hips need some TLC, not bad considering I sit in meetings in front of a computer all day. Left shoulder was/is in tough shape. I had a restriction causing some discomfort in an overhead position. Foam rolling and stretching is helping with t-spine and shoulders. Ankle stretches for dorsiflexion and sit-in squat is opening up the hips. Trying to get back a good upright bottom position in the squat. There's work to do here. Then again, this will be a constant for me. Light sots presses, snatch balance, hang snatch and kettlebell figure 8's have been really helpful with getting back into it. Eventually I'll slowly get back into a heavier routine. Hoping to feel whole again soon.

Winter 2023-2024
We had a hurricane run through a week ago yesterday. If someone told me I’d be raking leaves today in a t shirt in low 50’s degree temps the day after Christmas I would have laughed.

Working to Stay Lean ~
My world has been upside down for a year. Work and personal life has really put a wrench in my workout schedule. Never stopped, but no consistency. Looking to change the script this year. Glad to see you’re still at it! Hope your holiday season is going well.
