  1. Heading for upper 60*'s today...unheard of for February. Tonight's forecast....will be dark.
  2. Slow at work again, slo?
  3. It's actually funny that not many people know about those hose repair parts. My next door neighbor is in his late 40's and has been in construction since he got out of the marine corp. He was p.o'd that his hose was leaking and I happened to have an extra part. Put it in and he was amazed. "Where did you get that?" he asks. $20 for flex tape...he was about 75% there for a new hose!
  4. NASCAR was really never popular here. It had a blip when Gordon was racing, but it quickly fell off the radar. If you want to find it, it's up on the upper end of the cable channels along with channels you hide from your kids.
  5. I actually like Big Bite Baits. I haven't fished the hula grub, although, at one point in my fishing career I had a hula grub always tied on. At $2.60/10 ct, how can you go wrong?
  6. That part was waaaaay cheaper than This:
  7. Mid 50*'s yesterday, today & tomorrow. Possibly 70* on Thursday! 6-8" of snow Friday and mid-30*'s for the remainder of the 10 day forecast...
  8. I've told this one before, but I was fishing a topwater on a bank adjacent to the road. On my back cast one of the trebles caught the side mirror of a passing F150...I was instantly spooled.
  9. I'm pretty good with electric issues, but don't ask me 1 single question about engine issues. Anything fossil fuel propelled and I'm a Schultz..."I KNOW NOTHING"...or...
  10. Thanks Jig Man, really appreciate it. A portion of those jigs will go to a neighbor who helps me launch my boat at the beginning of the season and helps me pull it out. Another portion will go to another neighbor who I go fishing with from time to time on his boat. He has a bigger boat and we're able to get to some spots where mine can't go due to gas capacity (saltwater fishing). I'm sure next fall I'll be purchasing some more unpainted jig heads.
  11. Fingers are crossed everyone is ok.
  12. I read it quickly, but I think it meant jumping lead acid batteries only. It comes with a usb attachment and you can use it to charge you cell phone, iPad and such. I’m pretty sure my cell phone battery isn’t made with lead acid. I could be wrong, just ask my kids and wife.
  13. I read the owner's manual earlier on it and it said to use only on lead acid batteries.
  14. Pink is an awesome color, why not blue? Besides: Starting from the top and going clockwise: 1. Blue as we see it out of water. 2. Blue in blue water. 3. Blue in green water. 4. Blue in brown/red water. It's a color that just shows up.
  15. A winter project completed.
  16. Ain't gonna lie, that would have scared me as well. Truth be told, I'm not sure how I would have dealt with the otter...
  17. Boat or land I will point to a general direction to adults as to where I fish. Kids, I’ll give them the exact location and will give them a couple of soft plastics and hooks I used to catch fish.
  18. Thanks guys. I’m not much of a gear head, pretty much just a construction guy.
  19. I was just reading the owner's manual on it...actually the GB40...and it said to use only on lead acid batteries.
  20. Thanks MN. I had a feeling you knew this. @A-Jay, outta the park again, I wanted one last year for the boat and will be getting one this year. Thanks guys.
  21. Good question, I would imagine the the hook would eventually rust out.
  22. Probably a stupid question but, does this work for lead acid batteries as well as AGM? Does it even matter?
  23. Never heard/seen this happen before. https://www.necn.com/news/local/still-feel-the-adrenaline-ice-fisherman-hooks-otter-captures-battle-on-camera/2682375/
  24. Blame Canada...
  25. We've been in this wierd pattern of 60* (record for February for us) followed by overnight lows in the teens. The cold aire from the mid-west has made it's way over and we'll get snow squalls all day. It's only amounting to a dusting, but sheesh, let's just dive into spring.
